I was waiting for this kind of comment. While I thank God I’m alive today to reply you. I have had same accident 2years ago with my car.

Those packed trucks are invisible in the night. And they don’t take caution on places those caution signs on their trunks when they re left parked illegally. Verify very well, this particular accident happened in the night

Actually, it happened in the morning and overspeeding was the cause.

Only God knows how reckless that driver was driving in an opened and busy area like that for the accident to look this bad.

God rest their souls.

What's the probable cause?
Alcohol?
Driver loses consciousness?
Hidden ailments of driver like epilepsy?
Psychological?
Spiritual?

What caused it?

Rip to the students,
Nigeria failed you.

Sachets alcohol sell faster than garri or indomie .
Most drives use it to brush their mouths early morning in the motor parks.

Government cannot do something about it.

The government should consider regulating or banning these new Keke buses. Many of the drivers are former Okada and Keke riders who have simply transitioned to a larger vehicle without proper training. It's unacceptable that one would crash into a stationary trailer especially on a dual carriageway, where there's no excuse involving oncoming traffic.

☝️ This! Most Keke are ex-okada, abnormally reckless drivers! They contest every inch of the service lane with vehicles and match you speed for speed, they don't know that the Keke provides only the illusion of safety & zero protection in a crash. And when they drive an actual bus they're positively suicidal

I've always said it that education is a scam. Stop risking your lives unnecessarily.

Most drivers get poor night vision. Reason i dey always look out in a public bus..most times i dey alert driver to any stationary vehicle or object.

How can a driver run into a stationary trailer in the morning, when every where is bright. Was the driver planning to commit suicide??

The average naija commercial driver is drunk before his day begins. Trucks, busses, kẹkẹ, okada all drunk on shepe/agbo before starting the day. Worse part is their passengers praise their speed. I've heard many say "ahhh the driver try o, journey of 9 hrs he got us there in 5hrs he was very fast " I shake my head and wonder if they even care about their lives.

Over speeding/ brake-failure

LOOKING AT THAT ARTICULATED TRUCK, IT HAS NO WARNING LIGHT, OR REAR END REFLECTOR! IT BROKE DOWN RIGHT ON THE ROAD, AND WHEN NIGHT FELL, INNOCENT AND PROMISING PEOPLE WERE KILLED JUST LIKE THAT WHEN THEIR BUS RAN INTO IT!

ACTION has to be taken AGAINST ANY HEAVY VEHICLE WITHOUT BACK LIGHTS or REFLECTORS before they also broke down and may result in terrible and sad situations like these!

TOTALLY AVOIDABLE. Lastma/Oyrtma/FRSC/ other state traffic control agencies SHOULD NOT JUST FIXATED ON COLLECTING MONEY, But should PENALIZE any long or heavy vehicle that does not have FRONT AND BACK REFLECTORS AND WORKING MIRRORS.......Etc
