fabolouz1:Government also said police have no right to search your phone. Or to demand for money during bail. When police demand to search your phone (despite the "government making laws against it" , can you tell me which arm of government you will call to your rescue? While at that, can you tell the medical practices which government agent they should call after police has arrested the Medical Director? |

Shikena:Were you people not around when the law was made? We all knew when this law was been made, and yet we all did nothing about it. Now it is biting us deeply. Trust me, the publicity before this law was made is much more than now when it was banned. And you know our police officer will always do what will put money in their pocket. If you carry an injured victim to them, to get the police report, you must pay money, and now that it was banned, it means no one will come to them again for their report, hence they will not make that money again. I can tell you for a fact those doctors are just scared because if they treat the victim with a police report and the police find out, they will come and harass the doctors and all the hospital staff, even arrest them and label them as accomplices in aiding armed robbers. They have been doing it and still doing it till today. |

airsaylongcome:You're right, this is what the IGP needs to do, but unfortunately, they will never do it because they think it is of no benefit to them, until the citizens decide to protest, they will not do anything. very docile set of people. They are looking for an avenue to collect money only. DanseMacabre:You have seen it na, Nigeria is not a sane clime. |

Friend22:Do you know how much harassment they have endured from so-called police officers because of this same police report? If you are close to them, then you will know, even after the police report thing has been banned. What I keep saying is that there shouldn't have been a law like that in the first place. iHart:Do you know what delay in giving medical help can have on the impact of the life of eviction who is losing lots of blood by the second? You people just like to talk or what? Murketeer:You have seen it na. That useless House of Representatives member who passed this bill in the first place, I do not know what was going through his mind at that time. We obviously have the worst and dumbest people amongst us ruling us, it's a shame to say the least. |

Friend22:There is a lack of trust between the police and the medical community. Forget about those laws passed, be a medical personnel first before you judge. Police never show you pepper. We are talking about day to day encounters, not some written law that police does not acknowledge.Do you know how many hospitals have been in trouble over this matter? In cases like this, it is better to run to a nearby chemist and be attended to by a skilled 'quack' who cares more about saving your life for good money than running to a hospital that fears police shenanigans. Going to a licensed hospital in this case is a very long shot. Many of them have terrible experiences with police. It will take an executive order by the president to change this dilemma. If the president can issue the order, then everyone will follow. Relying on some NASS enactment is a long thing. |

sleek214:Exactly, the National Assembly have longed pass the bill into law, but so unfortunate that many useless hospitals still demand for a police report before they attend to an accident victim. More reasons such hospitals must be charged. Nigeria is a very useless country where even the Institution's do not obey the laws. |

BadNews:I still find it funny that a hospital/clinic or whatever are still asking for a police report before attending and administering proper treatment to a victim in emergency need of saving her life...... The FG through PBAT and Presidency, National Assembly(FG and State), NPF through the IG and State CPs dont want to address these issues and put a permanent stop to it. I still find it strange that Doctors still do this nonsense and no human rights lawyer have taken this issue against a notable hospital and caused them to be shut down. |

The govt and the police have said it time and time again that no hospital should ask for police report before treating anyone , the National assembly has passed a motion to that effect yet Nigerian medical personnel still insist on police report |

Adexvivacity:There is no requirement for Police report , the hospitals just use it to dodge work |

It's such a sad situation. Our law enforcers are culpable in the way things turn with the manner they treat volunteers or helpers/medics who render help to victims like this unfortunate lady. CodeTemplarr: |

How I wish Nigerians are allowed to carry small concealed guns to protect themselves. The death rate will rise sharply and then subside leaving mostly people care about living. If you want to die because of a stupid phone or purse then go ahead. If kidnapping is your thing, be my guest. Nigerians should have the option to protect themselves. That is the first law of nature. |

Corruption and lawlessness is destroying Nigeria. Drs are insisting on police report cos the Nigeria police is a defective system full of corrupt officials who seize every opportunity to milk people of cash. If that was not the case, Drs wouldn't be afraid to treat patients. I mean, of what importance is a police report for a stab victim? It's because the Nigeria police officers are like vultures ready to pounce on anyone if there is the slightest chance of getting a penny out of them is why this evil "rejection until police report is provided" syndrome will keep recurring. Anyways, the best way to counter is to sue those hospitals for negligence. Maybe when a few hospitals face the music others will start treating emergency classes while waiting for police report |

Do not flash anything expensive in the public, use button phone to make and answer public calls. Reduce all chances to any attack on you. Move in group as a matter of preference, God bless and keep you. |
