ARISHEM:But tell the government not to go on a borrowing spree tomorrow please, you all are making it look like people don't appreciate success. The girls had already won 1million dollars when they lifted that trophy and I wonder why any reasonable government should deem it fit to splash billions on them again in such an economy as ours. People are barely surviving in this country but we would rather spend money on people that are already in money. |

The rewards are massive like N150M per player then N75m per coaching staff, thats massive. |

The Super Falcons reward may be Audio, and it may take months or even years for it to materialised. |

Smiles...even this your offer will be criticised by some of your fellows. Mr President's good gesture is not meant to please everybody...being the right thing is most important. Olu1000: |

Lazy9jaYouth:You're right and wrong. Yes the price money for winning any European league or competition is smaller to what the clubs rewards the players, but those clubs makes their money thru something else like advertising, sponsorship and tv rights which stems from the football they played. But what is the super falcons bringing to Nigeria govt. How many of their jerseys have you or others bought |

Maybe we should enter the street with Timbrel and Cymbals. How much have you paid to the families of our fallen soldiers? Which road in Nigeria is passable? Electricity? Food Prices? How much are PHD holder-lecturers collecting? |

The reward given to the Super Falcons pales in comparison to the immense value their success brings to Nigeria’s global brand image. Sporting achievements on the world stage significantly enhance a country’s reputation, just as football has long shaped Brazil’s global identity. A strong national brand built through sports can attract increased investor interest and open doors for economic opportunities. It can also serve as a powerful icebreaker in meetings between Nigerian business leaders and international counterparts, where shared admiration for Nigeria’s sporting successes fosters trust, familiarity, and stronger business relationships |

Since some of y'all don't have brains... It's like giving wicked 100m. These girls are paid footballers already earning much. They should be pushed by patriotism not money. People working and serving the govt are getting 70k monthly and you went to give 160m to footballers |

Seriously this one make sense...they deserve it well, it's better than wasting it on BBN in people that have to show nudity and promote alcoholism on Media to young people. Now it's clear that even in sports young people can make a good living not only hookups and yahoo+ I give it up to the president on this... |

It is supposed to be a gift oga Bayo. Our excesses in this country is too much, that is why government officials can steal billions/ trillions confidently. Did Tinubu realise that millions of Nigerians can't boast of N1m? You can't pay police, you can't pay lecturers good money, but you can make a showoff of billions gifts to football players. it is not a wise decision. |

Pakute:So the Multichoice BB Naija show is the yardstick or standard that this Onanuga could think of? A whole govt spokesperson in a country with biting poverty like Nigeria? No wonder the country is like this! |

Nothing wrong with the rewards to the girls, they earned it, but what about others that are not footballers but contribute to society? What about teachers in that have not been paid, medical doctors and housemen that are underpaid, lecturers that are owned arrears, pensioners? The other day retired policemen were crying over unpaid pension arrears, what about impoverished students who instead of giving them study grants are being forced to mortgage their bleak futures with student loans. How about addressing simple things like fixing critical infrastructure and tackling security/ Those that were displaced in Benue, Plataeu, Kogi, Nassarawa, Enugu, Ondo, Oyo and other parts of the country who are staying in IDPs permanently deprived of their ancestral homes what is being done for them/ All those billions borrowed what is is used for? Just to shared only to the 'na our mama be dis o sycophant mass choir?'' ![]() Why reduce everyone to beggars and urchins? There is God o. |

ARISHEM:It is the usual bitter people cos they read meaning to the gift as political and they think he will have negative effects on their tribal and religious bigot chances of becoming president. Thier fake messaih has been moving up and down donating money but they are ok by that, even when it is pure politics. Kudos to president Tinubu because BBN with is immoralities can't be rewarded higher than those who work hard and put the nation in the spotlight. |

Felaincarnated:How many of our stadiums are even for to host the African cup of Nations ![]() I remember then that Nigeria is given the host for the African Nations both male and female, but this time around, the dilapidated nature of the stadiums can't even make Nigeria come 10th in Africa, and I was hoping then that soon we will host the World cup as the giant of Africa but that now may be many decades to come.... The person you quoted can never agree with you, whatever his principal does, he supports but goes behind to laugh it off, so dont bother yourself.... Those Falcons have international clubs they play for, what is the government doing to make sure the local ones and those playing for the international are protected?? I will recommend and thank Tinubu for gifting them with houses which is a life assurance but that #160m per a player , is really a mismanagement of resources ... In summary, the same Tinubu government crying that there is no money , removed all subsidy the masses are enjoying as they have a government , is now dishing dollars instead of Naira... I can tell you that the Currency the President uses down to the Senators are only dollars, they don't deal with Naira any longer that's why $100,000 is a cheap money , the President will be amazed that people are complaining over that peanut he gave the falcons when they know howfar the $100,000 takes them per week... |

The president has sent a strong message to all Nigerians through this reward that he will actively encourage patriotism. Also, these girls are rewarded for their handwork and dedication. They are not doing adult contents or soiling Nigeria’s name overseas by trafficking drugs, humans or into prostitution rings. We should encourage our children that anytime they make Nigeria proud, we will reward them accordingly and Mr President sent a strong message through the hefty rewards. |

kedeojo:The manner of reasoning and sense of judgement you people exhibit is really laughable.... Have you forgotten that among the Falcons lies many tribes in Nigeria ?Igbos, Hausas , Yorubas , Calabar , begins ,ijaws etc are all there... So why will you choose IGBOS as the ones complaining ![]() Didn't you see Hausas that are complaining as well ![]() Didn't you see Yorubas complaining as well?? Even Ijaws are complaining.... So why will you suddenly turn it to a Political matter , and use it to call on Peter Obi ![]() Why will you position it to only the IGBOS ?I mean, you online APC manipulators should know that your wisdom is foolishness to some people here... If I show you the comment of an Hausa Man now, you will keep quiet ...lols 😆 😆 😂 😂 😂 |

gerizzim:Yes, Yes, Yes... Noted that I'm not against the President doing such for the players for it creates a sense belonging and a way of appraisal. But the civil servants especially those whose income is below #100K deserve something as such once in a while.... |

Pakute:What is there to appreciate about ebilokan, when he has caused so much damage to the deregulation and privatisation prosperity that we enjoyed for 16 years of PDP? Why did he make his fellow southerner Jonathan a one term president in favour of a clueless northerner who he called expired in 2011? anonimi: |

I think the Presidency employed Onanuga to attend to unimportant matters. Good idea, good initiative but the way this one talks ehn. Without refinement. |
