Let us be honest with ourselves. What remarkable thing did our goalkeeper do that earned her the best goal keeper of the tournament?!
It's by clean sheets. Rules na rules

If you like, have 100saves ...without clean sheets, you can't win the golden glove

She conceded the fewest number of goals from open play.

Educate yourself.
How many did she save?

This is football bro...demands, equity , integrity, professionalism and fairness....not your typical African politics where every step is rigged to favor those who are at home advantage or the incumbent 🙄
Ok

Don' t make a fool of yourself openly.
There are criteria for every accolade especially in football.
Where you have two players with the same number of goals, one of the players with an higher number of assists will be given the award.
Likewise, there are criteria for determining the best behaved team.

Educate yourself and desist from unnecessary argument.

So, in your little mind you think a goalkeeper that made 60 saves and conceded 10 goals should be awarded ahead of another that made 20 saves but conceded 3 goals?

What about if a keeper has not even a shot fired at him or she. How do you judge such a keeper as the best? When the other saved 60 goals but conceded just one penalty? Is a clean sheet a clean sheet. A clean sheet is very much dependent on the efficiency of your defenders.

Where is my Ashleigh?

The list is not complete without her.
She must be on the list before final. I think the two Moroccan's goal removed her name from the list.
I love her maturity, delivery and composure on the ball. Better luck next time

We Nigerians really should commend the host country for their hospitality despite the laser beam flashing by some of their bad eggs. They still deserve to be praised.

In such a thrilling match on home soil, with 2 goals up before being equalized and then being awarded a penalty that would have most likely sealed the game for them in the 80th minute but cancelled would have triggered them to be violent after the match but they remained calm in their loss. Had it been, it was against England on home soil in a final. I bet, Nigerians will go home with bloody nose.

Go and ask the Italians what happened to them when the defeated England in the 2021 Euro championship (men) in England.

More grease to the Morrocans elbow. The have really improved. The first time we ever played we beat them 10 - nil.

May all our efforts be crowned with success well appreciated.
They should have dared.
The sanction go long die.
Naija may have lost a lot of respect, but you don't do such against a team that owns the monopoly of the game in the continent. Maybe if they were beaten by teams like Libya or Congo but SUPER FALCONS of all people? Their fans even before the game have 90% impression they'll loose so there no sudden disappointment in the end.
Finally, female football doesn't house violence because people (men) that are main perpetuators of violence go there to have fun and watch weaker vessels entertain them. If there's a fight it will be women against women. How many women that came to watch the match will jump into the field to fight? Nearly none except those connected to players.

And for an Islamic country like Morocco, most of the bigots and extremists that believes the females are embarrassing them will not even near the stadium.

Conclusion: Men are the originators and propagators of violence, female game for a man is like when your little brother or child is playing a tournament and you're encouraged to support them by attending. Good or bad you have to accept it.

omo plumptre no really fit dey there, she shud work on pass accuracy and attack so many misplaced pass and cordination
KosiGee:
Plumptre and Ohale should be there. Plumptre is a class and a joy to watch. Ohale was solid in defence and capped her tournament experience with a beautiful goal.

I hope the news about Oshoala retiring isn’t true. I think she’s put on some weight and not as sharp as she used to be but this could be worked on. Falcons need her.
Onumonu was missing in action. I hope she keeps working hard. We missed her presence, aggression and energy.

My dear fellow Nigerian brother, while I agree igbos are a major pillar in the development and of the country they are not the only ones, the yorubas, Hausas and other minorities make massive contributions some even do more than igbos, even in the super falcons we have great yorubas girls like Rashidat ajibade, asisat oshoala and doing well in great foreign clubs. They are the cornerstones too.

End tribal bigotry.
