Funny enough, Peter Obi didn't win any southwest state except Lagos. He doesn't need the southwest to win. He needs the North and the east. Tinubu can donate for him to the southwest and win there😃😁😂

I have an elder brother who is a bit rich, works in a multinational firm blah blah blah.

Before the employment, he almost became a councilor and he mixed up with a couple of grassroots politicians. That was where he realized all you needed to do to get the hearts of young Nigerians was to do "strategic giving", as he calls it.

You only need to give tiny amounts compared to how much you have but you make it very loud and you only give it to people who feel the amount is the bomb. You never ever give it to well-to-do people, only welfare seekers.

Till now, he still gives out N10k-N20k in extended family settings to our very poor cousins who think the world of him and they all lovingly call him "Senator". Lol.

The Yorubas call it "using money to buy "iyi" (status)". If you target it well, you won't need to spend that much money.

Obi is a billionaire. All he needs to do is to fix N3bn into a special purpose vehicle (money market or private investment) at 30% rate and that gives him N1bn yearly that he spends strategically on welfare people.

Please note that I commend him for what he is doing. But he is also being very smart to give strategically to only welfare people. It's far more expensive to give to people's dreams and visions because that would cost a ton of money.

Actually, big churches also do it too anyway.
