Oga, keep your Lamentations to yourself! She gave ₦1B because she could afford it, if it is so much money for you, please recognize that it is small money for others.

Why not start by advising your tinubu to start patronizing Innoson motors for himself and family and not patronizing bullet proof escalate and luxury boat for himself hmm
Abi charity no longer starts from home?
Innoson Vehicles doesn't produce vehicles that meets the standard of the presidency.

Tinubu is a terrible leader if he can't live by example of patronizing Nigerian made goods over foreign products.

The national assemble under APC akpabio leadership bought for themselves over one thousand luxury Toyota SUVs with money that would have made naira stronger if they had patronise made in Nigeria cars like Governor of Abia state, Alex Otti and soludo did by patronizing made in Nigeria cars for themselves over foreign made cars.

A leader should lead by example but I know that's not in tinubu dictionary .
I want to believe that President Tinubu patronises and uses a lot of Nigerian made goods like food, clothes and others.

However, he can be excused for not using Innoson vehicles because the standard required by the presidency is not on offer by innoson motors.

A very ignorant question in my opinion. Tinubu and his wife have spent hundreds of millions of dollars, hundreds of billions if not trillions of naira in foreign trips, donations, personal expenses like acquiring a jet, foreign trips, foreign medical expenses, bribing politicians, acquiring tasteful cars, building houses for their political supporters who hold offices, the monetary gifts to the super falcons, and much more. Zero accountability. How many individual Nigerians can match that? Tinubu has single handedly secured loans that will make you and your generations to come debtors to the tune of millions and millions of naira. Do you share in the debt of any of the 250 million Nigerians?

I see how you are using your brain to think. Keep thinking in reverse.

Coming from the same person that said people should not expect magic from Tinubu. Since the time of the late Buhari till now that the borders have been closed forcing Nigerians to patronise locally made goods and services how has it strengthened the naira? Imported goods are more expensive today in case you have been living under a rock. The naira continues its relentless decline.

I am now convinced you are just full of air, no substance in your argument...it is all gobbledegook. You are making up facts just to buttress your points that cannot hold water. Even worse, you ignore the extreme economic hardship brought upon Nigerians by your clueless president by which many businesses have inevitably shut down operations. How many average Nigerians don Brazillian hairstyles today? Are you ignorant of the fact that there are Nigerian companies that produce locally made jeans wears? Do you wear dashiki to a job interview or to ride commercial motorcycle? Why not channel your energy towards advocating for stable power supply, eradicating touts on the streets who are entitled to a fraction of someone's daily income, tax-friendly policies to encourage small businesses?

Again, your predilection to erroneous argument is telling. No matter how much Nigerians patronise locally made products the value of the naira does not rest in their hands. It is a product of the policies of the leaders and the central bank. Stop putting the responsibility of the naira's value on Nigerians. What is then the function of the central bank? Millions of Nigerians are not educated so why should they be blamed for the collapse of the naira while your central bank governor and your president escape blame?

Here is a screenshot for you.
Wait till your Messiah gets into the office of presidency and then correct all you think is wrong with Tinubu government.

Till then, we shall see what your Messiah can do and what you would be saying then.

You can create the Nigeria you want with or without Tinubu.

He is just one man. We are 250 million people.

Nollywood was an embarrassment when it first started. But continued patronage by Nigerians made it what it is today, with Netflix , Cannes Film Festival and other big names now associated with it, as the world's 2nd biggest film industry.

There was no government involved.

We can do that in many other sectors.
Why are you talking like someone without understanding. Just one policy by tinubu can make good or spoil the economy. So tinubu is not just one person.

It's terrible. No matter the angle you look at the president action it was reckless. It baffles me how some people still justify the action and it makes you realize that it's hard to fix Nigeria. 150 million for players and around 70 million naira for other members that won an Africa created tournament and police was protesting Cos of 2 million naira gratitude after 35 years of service. A country where most civil servant earn peanuts, some don't think how far 150 million naira can fix an area. And we say kidnapping should end and corruption. SINCERELY I BELIEVE THE PRESIDENT MADE A MISTAKE WHEN HE WAS TALKING BUT OUT OF PRIDE FIND IT HARD TO REVERSE HIS STATEMENT.
Oga, that money isn't too much for the Super Falcons, they deserve it and even more.

Stop winning and lamenting because of ₦160M gift per person.

Tinubu sometimes says things to give the opposition opportunities to demonstrate their ignorance. Tinubu said the girls would be gifted the naira equivalent of $100,000.

LP reads that they were given $100,000.

This is why they can't understand the basics of conflict resolution.
Why is Tinubu ashamed to pronounce it in Naira?

Do you know Nigeria was spending billions of dollars a year to prop up the naira?

Does your region produce even 1 million dollars a year to pay for that?

The Naira is its True Value now.

To make it stronger, you buy Made in Nigeria.

When you see Aba made shoes, don't laugh and choose Italian made.

Because you pay for that in dollars or Euros.

When you walk into a shop to buy a wristwatch and you see a Nigerian made watch and a Swiss watch, buy the Nigerian made watch.

That is how you raise the value of your currency.

The more demand for a particular currency to pay for goods and services, the higher the value of the currency.

That's how it works. You don't force it.

If you don't use naira for major purchases of Made in Nigeria goods, but prefer imports, you can never have a high valued currency.

All Tinubu did was bring you back to reality.

The other day I posted a thread on how Nigerian women spend nearly a billion dollars every year on imported dog hair from Brazil.

If they decided to make indigenous hairstyles and braids, plaits trend, that could create 5 million new jobs for local hair stylists, and raise the naira value. Multiply that by other sectors. The naira value would rise in value overnight.

You are your own worst enemies, not Tinubu.

You are probably standing there dressed head to toe in imported gear - jeans t shirt, sneakers. None made in Nigeria.

Yet you expect high naira value. How?

Go to China today and present a Chinese man on the street with two pairs of shoes, one pair made in China, the other made in Italy. He will choose the one made in China, even though he knows the Italian one is of 'better quality' (supposedly).

When you understand why he did that, and apply such logic to yourselves, you will see your Naira value rise naturally as a matter of course.
bro God bless u for this .... Pure fact... Nigerians will see 9ja made but choose to buy Chinese made.... Zombie

Lolz, you're ignorant in this. The England women national team wasn't given any extra money apart from their prize money which was from the €5m they won and the FA took 60% of the money while the ladies shared 40% which amount to over £80k pounds each to the ladies. So in their case their monetary rewards was from the prize money and not from their govt or king.

Is Tinubu Nigeria?

Of what impact is what he buys compared to what 250 million people decide to buy?

The problem with you lot is that you've made the role of your ''leaders'' so paramount in your lives that there is no room for your own brains to think.

What stops You and today's youth from promoting Nigerian-made so as to shore up the Naira value?

You all have internet and social media. Why don't you use it for something fruitful?

Instead of looking for ''our leaders'' to blame for naira value, why not also be ''leaders'' and start a social media campaign to elevate indigenous hairstyles, and ditch Brazilian hair imports and imported bleaching creams?

Or promote indigenous fashion like light Dashiki over jeans and t-shirts?

Make it 'trend'?

These are mindset adjustments that can generate millions of new jobs and raise the Naira value, virtually overnight.

But no. Tinubu must magically raise the Naira value for you while you cover yourself in imports.

Keep waiting.
Ok let start from you. The phone you are using to post this, is it a Nigerian made phone?

It has been a tradition for every federal government in Nigeria to give cash or monetary gratification to national teams that win major tournaments, it was done under Obasanjo, Jonathan, Buhari and currently Tinubu.

The price money from CAF to NFA, in recognition of Super Falcons achievement, is a million USDollars. Why are you not complaining about CAF transacting with USD?

Convert the £80,000 pounds, given to each member of the England Womens National Team, to naira - that is about ₦163M. Then also convert the 100,000USD from the Nigerian President to naira, of which the naira equivalent is the amount payable to each Super Falcons member - that is about ₦160M.

The £80,000 given to the lioness each was tagged Bonus for winning the tournament, it was exceptional and separate from their wining bonuses and camp allowances. It was in appreciation of their contribution, irrespective of whether it was deducted from the money won from the organizers of the tournament or from the government.

In Nigeria and every part of the world, government can't directly tamper with NFA funds that were donated to them(NFA) and we can't be so sure that NFA will exceptionally gratify the super Falcons players on achieving the feat. Hence, the federal government took the initiative as a tradition.

Are you saying the Super Falcons don't deserve the reward? What exactly is your point?

-Tinubu changed the indigenously composed Nigerian national anthem for the version crafted by the colonial masters thereby refusing to free Nigeria from the relics of these imperialists.

-Tinubu brazenly goes to seeks healthcare in cosy foreign hospitals abroad @the expense of a nation whose health work force is on a flight outbound to seek better working conditions, thereby denigrating the dilapidated healthcare system in this nation.

-Today, Tinubu is awarding a duly right reward to the all conquering Falcons in the US dollar that is economically stifling and constricting the naira. Hence rendering it as thrash in the global financial market.

-Tinubu once said; "I don't believe in one Nigeria" but today does because he now benefits from all the flawed processes a skewed and defective one Nigeria offers him. This is not statemanlly, but unbridled egocentric quest and grandiosity.
You are a known lover of lies. You watched the video and the president clearly mentioned naira equivalent. Watch from 2min mark in this short video.
