In Adamawa State, a group of youths has successfully kïlled a hippopotamus that strayed into their community following the recent floods that have devastated parts of the state and claimed several lives. The animal, believed to have been displaced from its natural habitat by the heavy flooding, emerged in one of the affected villages, raising fears among residents. In a swift response, local youths mobilized and managed to kpai the hippopotamus, which posed a serious threat to safety and movement in the area

Nigerians are still so backward and ignorant. They should not have killed this beautiful animal. Not their fault as they are are largely illiterate, hungry and ignorant. What should have happened is to secure the Hippo and call appropriate authority (another failure entirely) to relocate it to natural habitat. |

Or maybe you read that a hippo is a herbivore and concluded that it is harmless. Hippos are a lot more dangerous than crocs. Maybe those villagers should've waited till he killed a few people before responding, right? |
