Family can be a good support system for people, especially during hard times when friends can usually abandon you. Family would make sacrifices for you that only they can make. They will help you to organize important functions such as marriages, birthdays, etc. Most family members can bring joy to you at sad moments, but some family members are something else ooo!!

Some family members will patiently be waiting for your downfall to boost their ego that they are doing better than you. It is funny that sometimes you don't know the true intentions of your family members. Some will be acting nice and caring, but the moment you die, they will seize your properties; my father's siblings were kind and friendly to my mother until he passed away!! They completely changed!!

Not everyone has family members they can depend on, and they are still doing well, so family is not everything, although friends can become like family. Just pray fake family members are exposed before too much damage is done!

Family talks n discussion is very deep. Its not as simple as people think. Its different everywhere

I've seen people who have toxic family members, distanced himself gradually and stayed away, only to appear on VERY important occasions. Not Christmas or any festive. But extra important occasions.

Had pals who were like a family to him.
When things went south, he was shocked to see his so called evil uncle or toxic aunty came to his rescue in police roping case.

Friends left and few who stayed couldn't help.
The unc and anty still said u just left without trace it was so so so that told us you were in trouble, we had to gather some family members to donate so we can do something.

U may think ,the unc or anty was responsible for his predicament. So dey can be heroes. U may or may not be correct

Try to take time to better comprehend what the OP is in fact saying before responding next time. OP is not suggesting that family is unnecessary in some instances. Rather, he is insinuating that it does not work for all, and that is OK.

2. I watched a story that happened some days ago with a father who tried to strangle his daughter while his wife watched. Strangers were able to step in to stop the man from killing the girl, and this after beating the sheet out of him. The wife, unconcerned about the plight of her daughter, questioned why the men took it on themselves to beat her husband. Are you wanting us to believe that that girl, after this, would someday return to have these deep discussions with the same father and mother who wanted her dead? Are you wanting us to believe that this gal would ever want to be alone in the same room with that same father or mother?

3. While you think it is deep, it isn't! People who are not entirely damaged know how to avoid toxic people, whether related or unrelated. Your fantastical tale of a toxic helpful uncle and aunt conveniently omitted the price of the help they afforded your friend. After all, toxic people are toxic because even the help they give comes with a cost.
