You know, the friendship between Dangote and Otedola is very interesting. Otedola made his money from being a sole distributor of diesel at some point. Dangote, through his refinery, wants to make importation of all crude oil derivatives a thing of the past. This puts a major dent in his friends business. I really don't know if Forte oil has oil wells. Whatever it is, Femi really isn't sweating obviously.

He is chairman of Geregu Power Plc and holds substantial stakes in FBN holdings and Zenith bank. Dude is worth 1.5 billion dollars. He has long sold his shares in Forte oil and relies primarily on passive income his investment holdings bring him.

Otedola started business from the age of six and has been in the energy business since 1993.
U are quite accurate except for Otedola has divested from the diesel importation business since subsidy payment became a reoccurring issue so thers is no clash between him and Dangote.

He was also part of the formation of Dangote refinery by support to his friend Aliko Dangote.

Two Rolls Royce and Two Maybachs is what's making this one shout like this?

Some Nigerians think cars are the only luxury items in existence.

I blame our elites for always spending lavishly on liabilities instead of assets.

Why won't they, when their wealth is usually government assisted like someone already said, and not from labour or investments.

Beside stop comparing the act of someone here to others in abroad. Yeah they don’t because they are not hungry. The case here is different.

His father was a former Governor too. Yes he was rich, but Goodluck Jonathan made Otedola the billionaire he is today. I speak as an insider not hearsay.

Otedola went broke at some point and was on the brink of losing it all to AMCON, before Goodluck became President and everything changed. He wrote off his debts and started awarding him jaw-dropping contracts that revived Otedola and made him the real billionaire he is today.

Jimoh Ibrahim and co couldn't survive.

You guys don't know the power of a Nigerian President. Every Nigerian President have the power to make at least 10 persons he likes dollar billionaires.

IBB made a lot of Nigerians billionaires.

Tinubu is making people too but mostly his relatives and few loyal Yorubas, he is too selfish, too corrupt and ethnocentric to a fault undecided

Like I said earlier, it's good to stay within your practical knowledge boundary.

I am not speaking based on them said.

I speak from inside.

Yes Otedola was rich, of course he has a rich family background. To be the son of a former Governor of Lagos state is more than enough to consider you rich and even made in life.

But beyond that, the current wealthy Otedola you know today was revived and made who he is by Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, you can quote me anywhere any day.

During Otedola's trough time after the issue he had which was common to businessmen, he and Dangote wasn't even in good terms then, that's a story for another day.

Back then, I lived with my eldest brother who was also into oil and gas and knew Otedola, Rabiu, the owner of Rahamaniyya oil and gas. My brother had the same issue Otedola had back then, though he wasn't a big player or as wealthy as Otedola, but that same issue sank him and he and others couldn't survive it but Otedola survived it because of Goodluck Jonathan.

Now what you would ask is why did Jonathan helped Otedola immensely to bounce back and become a force to reckon with again?

Femi Otedola showed Goodluck Jonathan so much respect, kindness and recognition when he was Bayelsa Governor and other Governors and political heavyweights looked down on Jonathan and saw him as an opportunist reaping what he did not work for.

Because of that, they usually isolate Goodluck at events but at any event or occasion Femi Otedola saw Goodluck, he would rush to him and greet him so well and call him 'My Governor'. Otedola continued that and that endeared him to Jonathan, from there Jonathan developed special likeness for him and they became close.

So when Otedola had business setback and was owing a debt of over a billion US dollars that he couldn't repay, Jonathan secretly stepped in and Otedola paid off the debt though it was kind of controversial but who can challenge the will of a Nigerian President in Nigeria? At the end, everything was buried and Otedola became a free man with more federal government contracts and backing that made him rebounce to who he is today.

So when I said Goodluck Jonathan made Femi Otedola the dollar Billionaire he is today, I mean every word I said and I never meant that Femi Otedola was poor or struggling before Goodluck Jonathan helped him. He was doing well financially and business wise but had a serious business setback that would have sank him forever like others, but because of Goodluck Jonathan's secret help, Otedola bounced back and became yet a force to reckon with in Nigeria's oil and gas sector.

Stop arguing with me, I am not good at saying what I don't know with confidence.

A family friend back then was among Jonathan's aides, I can confidently give you 80% list of Nigerian business moguls Goodluck Jonathan made who they are today, including Igbos, it's not new, every Nigerian President does that but only Tinubu has been busy helping and enriching only his relatives, then Yorubas and few loyal political allies outside Southwest unlike other past Presidents who spread their tentacles across all regions and tribes of Nigeria and that is one of the reasons why I don't fancy Bola Tinubu and want him out come 2027.

As for my networth you made mention of, how can you compare an ordinary me with Femi Otedola na? Haba haba. I am not even worth up to 1billion naira to talk of being a billionaire shocked

My small company is still growing small small, though Bola Tinubu's thoughtless policies affected the growth somehow, but I know God will still do what He did for us in my early formative years

So pls don't compare me with a billionaire like Femi Otedola. I never reach anywhere. I am still struggling to stabilize my small form and I wished a Nigerian President could step in and help me like they helped all the influential businessmen in Nigeria from Dangote, to Otedola to Arthur Eze, Orji Uzo Kalu, etc cry

Alol !!! the more you talk the more you make me feel i shouldnt have over estimated you at all 🤣🤣 this is super story i thought you said its not dem say dem say ..... why not simply provide me a verifiable link to this cock n bull story
Otedola is always running to greeting jonathan, he give him chair to sit at owambe ... do you even listen to yourself

when it is evidential from the link you provided how Otedola sold properties to pay off his debt, ,. evidence attached read man

The forte oil that rebound otedola was originally African petroleum he owned 34% stake highest

within 2010 and, by 2014 precisely Otedola got back on world richest .. its very possible Jonathan helped him with favors/ contracts But "MADE" is completely out of it ... olamide fit talk say e make asake becos he was nobody until he met olamide But imagine olamide claim he made 9ice ... lets assume they have hit collaboration trending

you dont know the meaning of Make, adam no dey before God creat am o hope you know that one
