Trump does not take kindly to efforts by BRICS undermining the role of US dollar as world reserve currency as being championed by Russia and China. During last BRICS summit , Brazil was very vocal in pushing the idea.

All 3 countries, Russia, China and Brazil are in Trump's cross hairs for massive sanction. Venezuela is also a great supporter of the idea because of longstanding economic sanctions by USA.

Unfortunately, President Tinubu, seeking his first real relevance in international scene has opened his full chest to support the BRICS move. This will put him personally in Trump's bad books. And will draw tariff and visa punitive measures from Trump who runs diplomacy on a very personal level.

By the time Trump opens his old drug case files, PBAT will have only himself to blame for picking the wrong fight with a man who doesn't pull punches with fighting dirty. I hope this will not blow back Nigerian oil and gas industry that depends heavily on equipment and material import from USA, and on innocent Nigerians who invest so much in educating thier children in US colleges.

That phrase "financial restructuring" in Tinubu's X post is tongue-in-cheek code word for dumping the US dollar as world reserve currency which Trump has vowed to fight against it's proponents.

Good luck to Tinubu, Lula, Maduro, Putin and Xi in thier quest to replace the US dollar.

I stand with President Tinubu on this. Trump is so inconsistent that he changes like the weather everyday. There's something else about Trump: When he grandstands, and you as a sitting president don't bat an eyelid and use the same confrontational tone with him, he chickens out and changes narrative.
It's time for the US hegemony to be openly challenged.

So it's Tinubu and his tiny 180 billion dollar economy that will challenge US hegemony?😅😅😅😅 You people love jokes ...the lucky thing for Tinubu is that Trump is not interested in Nigeria because his daughter is a regular in this country , she comes regularly to visit her husband's family

Trump has full dossier on him, his past and his antics. Don't forget people like Paul Adefarasin and many others from Nigeria are in Trump's inner circle. It is not going to be Uhuru for him going forward...

He has been nipped in the bud and that's why he is avoiding having contact or confrontation with him.

Burkina Faso is challenging your so-called US hegemony.

And nothing is happening to them.

So go and rest.

The same Trump you are defending is sending his thugs in masks to the streets to snatch off brown and black people like you and dump in El Salvador without due process.
