He gave the reason that he wanted to know how much he had in his disposal before embarking on projects which did not sit right with people at first. If you search the internet today, you will see many criticisms against him by many people because he denied them the Ghana-must-go bag style of government they were all used to. APC online paid agents still flood this forum with all those comments people made that time. His commissioners were starved of money and so lazy praise singeforall over the state who hoped on commisioners for stipends were starved as well. PO really changed that state for good. If you know the average politics in Anambra before he became governor, you will come to appreciate him now. Godfather Chris Uba's strong hold on Anambra treasury ended when Obi took over though Ngige's strong head necessitated it. Today, there can be political mentors, no more godfathers who will not let governors work.

Why is this godfetherism only online and on newspapers sponsored by propagandists and not on ground in Anambra like how everyone including chickens and lizards witnessed Chris Uba's godfatherism over Ngige and the other one I can not remember his name now over Governor Mbadinuju? People that condemned Obi in 2007 and now praise him do so not out of tribalism but out of reality they later faced. Like I posted before, they all condemned him when he started doing something they were not used to and changed their narrative after they saw the result of what he did. A man who starves you of corruption in your work place will be your enemy until his policies start affecting you positively. Many who condemned him for not throwing money around like his predecessors started appreciating him when they saw the schools improved, saw good fiscal responsibility in the state and saw development. You know the truth but tribalism won't let you accept it so I won't bother responding anymore.

The gridlock under Obiano was due to the construction of the 2nd Niger Bridge and adjorning roads (Asaba end) which Buhari commissioned, it had nothing to do with bad road at Onitsha.
