It Will Be Tough To Beat Tinubu In 2027 – Senator Olujimi by adenigga(op): 4:04am On Aug 01, 2025
Senator Biodun Olujimi, a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), has said it will be extremely difficult for any opposition party to defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.

Speaking on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme, Olujimi described Tinubu as a “dyed-in-the-wool politician” whose depth and experience in Nigerian politics gives him a clear advantage ahead of the next presidential race.

“This is the first time we are having a dyed-in-the-wool politician as a politician. He knows his onions, he knows all of us, he’s been in the system for a very long time. It’ll be tough to beat him,” she said.

Olujimi highlighted Tinubu’s political history and influence across party lines, saying, “This is a man who has worked with everyone, who has been useful to everyone, who has had opportunities to assist government — beating him? Uphill task.”

In a separate interview with TVC, Olujimi explained the reasons behind her defection from the PDP to the APC, citing her admiration for the Tinubu administration’s resolve in making and standing by tough decisions.

“Well, the PDP journey was a very long journey. It was pleasurable at first, but then it became very torturous and very problematic,” she said. “And so it was time to move on. It was time to re-energise. It was time to reorder priorities.”

Olujimi, who represented Ekiti South in the Senate, praised Tinubu for remaining steadfast in the face of public criticism over difficult reforms.

“I have always been a proponent of government taking very tough decisions and standing behind those tough decisions,” she said. “This is the first time I will see a government take tough decisions, stand by it, and run with it. And that is the reason for which I have decided to pitch my tent.”

Hehehe.

My country is a funny and strange one.

A country that almost everything is going wrong, but our politicians are busy talking about 2027. All they care about is winning elections and not governance.

As we speak nurses are on strike, but you won't see these wicked politicians talking about it.
Insecurity is at all time high in Nigeria, but they won't address it.

Our economy is in shambles, but all we hear is 2027 elections. Well I don't blame them,it's their supporters I blame.

Tinubu is called a strategist because he is in the SW where they like to be easily enslaved and call it loyalty such level of godfatherism can never be accepted in the SE.

Tinubu is only enjoying Buhari grace nothing more and now Buhari is more so let's see how it goes......

He projected Ribadu and Atiku for president they failed woefully so where is the strategies?

Can El Rufus, obi, amechi and Atiku rule different from what they have done in the past. TINUBU RULING IS FRUSTRATING but I don't need another petrol to my fire.
They can't give what you don't have..
A leopard can't change it's skin. If obi can see Tinubu political movement in 2023 as religious war. Then I doubt if he understood politics in Nigeria. Not even atiku jumping around.
Politics in Nigeria is to pretend and promised them when you get there Change story.
I look at people just hallucinating with COALITION. Who are your Savior in ADC? Same CROOKS.
A reasonable Nigerians who understands politics can see that NIGERIANS ARE STILL AFTER TRIBE TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT GOVERNANCE.
A politician with 2m investments borrowed 20m from bank to settle masses to win election. How do you expect him to pay with interest if not to rob Peter for Paul. Reject bribe and I won't make dirty advancement but the moment u take it, you are my slave..
HOW CAN AN UNCORRUPT SURVIVE AMONG CORRUPT BOSS AND A CORRUPT JUNIOR OFFICERS?

Yes ,through massive rigging. It is a grave insult to Nigerians to spew such nonsense in the midst of widespread hunger and crippling insecurity. At what point did we drag the bar of governance this low? Pathetic.

People are now supporting Tinubu because of his failure, shamelessly rebranding it as “tough decisions.” Tough decisions that have sent people to early graves. This is beyond shameful.

Anyone making such claims is merely advertising BAT’s rigging prowess and nothing else. Only God will forgive these people.

Will it be easier to let A-looter Propaganda Congress, APC continue their shege that was fraudulently sold to us in the fine print of change a decade ago?

May Day: Hunger, unemployment, insecurity real— Tinubu

According to him: “The theme demands our collective attention and serves as a stark reminder of the need to create an environment where every worker feels safe, valued, and empowered to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. As your President, I assure you that this administration is committed to creating such an environment for the common good.”

On the economic hardship, he noted that while it is a global phenomenon, its effects on Nigerians are particularly severe.

Tinubu said: “I am aware of the peculiarities of the economic hardship Nigerians face—rising living costs, hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and the loss of livelihoods. These challenges are real and demand definitive solutions, which I am poised to address as your President.

Who are the people who gave us 16 years of privatisation and deregulation prosperity?

Are they among those who you listed as options to replace ebilokan and APC shege of the past decade? Replace APC in the same way that ebilokan made his fellow southerner Jonathan a one term president and replaced him with a clueless northerner Buhari who he called expired in 2011!

thisweekng:
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.

He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubu’s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy.

He said, “I think as we all know, we are not where we should be. The economy is barely growing above the rate of population growth.

“But it was not always so, and I think in trying to look at the way forward, if we now have a situation of slow growth, double-digit inflation, weak/depreciating exchange rate, as well as security concerns that are resulting in an economy that is not growing and not taking Nigerians out of poverty.

“If we think back to the last time when the economy was stable- when it was growing, when inflation was low, and the interest rate was affordable, that period was about a decade ago. Growth was about 6% in 2013 and 2014.”

We keep telling you people.....the dynamics for 27 are different from 23.....what obi got in 23 were majorly protest votes against the APC and buhari's policies at the time such as the fuel scarcity, currency change, insecurity etc that pit a lot of people in hardship at the time.....those wouldn't be factors come 27 also the euphoria that greeted Obi's run at the time has been drastically deflated as many won't be too keen any longer as they were in 27.

On the other thread, someone was saying Tinubu will get 15m votes. If Tinubu gets 15m in 2017, ADC will get 18m.
Re: It Will Be Tough To Beat Tinubu In 2027 – Senator Olujimi by Ofunaofu: 6:34am On Aug 01, 2025
Tough, but not impossible.

In 2015, unseating Goodluck Jonathan was considered tough, but it was not impossible even with his average performance and popularity.

By contrast, Bola Tinubu lacks both widespread popularity and a commendable record of performance.

In fact, defeating Tinubu should be considerably easier.

That is, provided the opposition coalition is able to organize itself effectively.

Tough decisions aren’t the problem, HYPOCRISY is. It’s easy to preach sacrifice when you're not the one sacrificing.
Governments raise prices, cut services and call it 'necessary reform while their own perks, salaries and luxuries remain untouched. Smart people knew it wouldn’t be easy but they also know the weight should be shared and not dumped on the people alone

You're right and it still amused me why people sell their future and that of their generations for crumbs. Leaders like Olujimi still calculate using outdated formulas assuming hunger will always buy silence but its becoming clearer that politics that ignore the people sufferings won't hold forever. The same tactics that worked in the past may backfire now. Lastly, people have felt the pain and pain educates fast

if a certain Trump could lose an election as incumbent why is it not "POSSIBLE" for Tinubu to get kicked out

Ko selé ri a fin da eru baa oloro nii, In Nigeria history we've had incumbent that lose election and heavens didnt fall

It is not IMPOSSIBLE for Tinubu to lose the coming election, IF he allows inec give a free and fair election

But we know Tinubu is in entire life never takes a straight path nowhere, rigging his is way of life and only option back

I am glad Nigerians Rejection of Tinubu govt is so obvious, even him admit Nigerians hate him ... Tinubu can defeat Nigerians again but he can never defeat TIME.. 8yrs ma pé he should ask buhari.

Agreed it is tough.

But it is not impossible.

Once you are not favoured by the majority of two other regions in Nigeria, the political odds will be most likely against you.

It even looks like the opposition will be the popular candidate while the incumbent the underdog.

What do u expect...because the appointments are skewed in ur favour.

Nothing in this world last forever.

If Tinubu wins through the backdoor like he did before,he might ignite the country into an unprecedented crisis.
