When Funke Olakurin, daughter of Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti was murdered instead of Bola Tinubu to make sure that the perpetrators were brought to book, he ended up making fun of the death of the young lady by turning everything into tribalism by showing his hates for Igbos.

First of all, my initial comment was to correct a clear misinformation, that the authentic Ohaneze Ndigbo is currently led by Senator John Azuta-Mbata, not by some faction led by one charlatan by name Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, who represents no real Igbo mandate.

And yes, just like Afenifere has factions, Ohaneze does too. That’s not news. But if we’re being honest, only one Ohaneze Ndigbo speaks for the Igbo people, and it’s the one under Azuta-Mbata, not the media-hungry impostors used to issue politically convenient statements.

Now to the other part of your comment “must you hate all blindly?” You are typically trying to deflect. Pointing out facts or correcting propaganda isn’t hate, it’s clarity. I’m not here to “hate” Umahi or anyone, but no one should hide behind identity politics to avoid scrutiny. If he’s doing well, show us the results. If he isn’t, it’s not “tribal hatred” to call it out.

This isn’t about region or tribe, it’s about truth. If the North has more projects, that’s a policy question. But don’t drag Igbos into emotional blackmail to protect politicians. We’re not all obligated to blindly “defend our own” when they’re underperforming that’s how mediocrity thrives.
