I want to assume marble trowel paint is what you called mineral stone paint. It has multiple colored tiny stones. It's N28000 per drum.

Now to those using aluminium doors for bedrooms, what exactly are you trying to achieve? 😑

Some fabricators will package the lie sweetly:

"E last pass wood... E no dey swell... Water no fit touch am..."

But truth be told…

Aluminium door as room door?
That’s like using ceiling board for floor tile; wrong material, wrong place.

Let me break it down clearly:

❌ It can’t block sound

❌ The locks go misalign over time

❌ The frame fit bend with small pressure

❌ And mosquito fit greet you from under the door 😂

Aluminium doors are designed for windows or maybe toilet areas (with caution).
But even for toilets, I don’t use it for my clients.

Why?

Because the panel door experience is different.
That “thud” you hear when you close a solid panel door imported HDf, Paneldoors or Steel doors,
Is the same you get when you shut a quality car door. 🚗

It’s soundproof, sturdy, classy, and confidence-inspiring.
The kind of feel that reminds you, “this house was built with intention.”

Meanwhile, aluminium door go dey give kpraaa kpraa kpraa like biscuit pack. No weight. No presence.

If you’re building to last, don’t compromise on essentials.
Even a toilet door deserves dignity.

Because you won’t know the difference; unless you give your project to a pro.

Please, absolutely nothing wrong with going for a aluminium parapet instead of concrete parapet, its not only cheaper compared to a concrete parapet, its also easier to maintain. Aluminium parapet is very purposeful and very aesthetic.

I appreciate your contribution, and yes, you’re right that cost and aesthetics play a role in choices. But let’s not confuse aluminium parapet with concrete parapet; they serve very different purposes.

Aluminium parapet is purely cosmetic. It does not serve any structural or permanent protective function in the building.
Meanwhile, a reinforced concrete parapet is part of the building's structural system,especially when integrated properly during casting. It can:

✅ Help in water control at roof edges
✅ Act as partial protection barrier
✅ Improve roof-to-wall integration
✅ Add thermal mass (in high-end builds)

Let’s be honest: in Nigeria, the issue is not lack of DIY, it’s lack of knowledge, poor guidance, and excessive compromise disguised as 'Innovation.'

If a client knows what aluminium parapet truly is (a metal trim screwed to fascia board), and chooses it for budget or style, no wahala. But don’t call it the same as reinforced concrete parapet, they’re not equal.

And when it fails; rusts, leaks, or gets blown off by wind, it’s always the same people shouting “Nigerian engineers no sabi work.”

I tell painters I send for inspection to call me when they get there and when they leave. Even this isn't foolproof against kidnappers for ransom but having known address and phone number by a third person would help monitor movement and assist tracking.

just yesterday a client asked me to come to his office so he can see and trust me. Its just 30minutes from me yet i billed him 20k for me to come. He started blowing grammer than is it not here to here, bro if u can’t pay then go!!! Never ever go to meet a client without the inspection fee, his transaction on record is an evidence should anything happen.
