João Pedro was electrifying for Chelsea in the recently concluded Club World Cup, he really looked sharp. As for Gyökeres, he’s coming from the Portuguese league, which is a different level in terms of intensity and physicality, so there’s always a bit of uncertainty. He could turn out to be a big success, or maybe not, it depends on how quickly he adapts.

The thing with João Pedro is that he already has Premier League experience, and that matters. If Chelsea can provide him with consistent service from midfield, there’s no reason he’ll be missing the kind of chances that Madueke and Jackson were wasting last season.

Palmer could have easily become a Ballon d’Or winner if not for the inefficiency of his attacking partners, Jackson and Madueke. Both players seemed to overrate themselves, yet consistently failed to deliver in crucial moments. Their poor decision-making and lack of end product often disrupted attacking flow and killed Palmer’s momentum, ultimately leading to his goal-scoring drought at a critical point last season.

I never wanted Lukaku the bag of beans. we really don't need a pure 9 for Tuchel's system to work. We need a false 9 really that is clinical, we look more fluid because our front 3 can interchange, press and occupy different spaces. Big waste of money.
