Law Students Kidnapped In Benue Regain Freedom by teekrackz(op): 2:01pm On Aug 01, 2025
Six of the Nigerian Law School who were abducted while travelling from Anambra State to Adamawa have regained freedom.

The Benue Police Command confirmed this in a statement issued on Friday.

The Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Udeme Edet, said the six law students were heading for the Yola Campus of the Nigerian Law School when they ran into the kidnappers along the Benue-Taraba boundary.

“Please be informed that the police have successfully rescued six law students of the Yola campus, who were abducted on July 26, 2025, while traveling from Anambra State to Adamawa State, have been safely released and united with their families this morning, August 1, 2025,” the statement read.

The kidnappers had initially demanded N120 ransom, vowing to kill the captives if their demands were not met.

The high level of insecurity in Benue has been a source of concern,

Last year, 20 medical students en route to University of Jos in Plateau State, were kidnapped along Otukpo-Otukpa-Enugu Road.

They regained freedom after weeks in captivity.

Good news.
I pray Nigeria will be safe again.
Congratulations to them.
Anyone blaming a political party for insecurity in Nigeria iss not sincere.
Like the guy below.

We know those responsible for killing and kidnapping yet we don't call them out

Were they rescued or ransom was paid?

It is a shame that the FG and security apparatus has failed to nab these criminals. There is no explanation for this. A serious security outfit would have nab these criminals using intelligence or marking the bills used as ransom.

Regain freedom after paying huge ransom, what is the job our NPF? to people life and properties, but you can only see them where bribe and corruption strives Nigeria is long gone. The statement police has successfully rescued is a big scam.
Re: Law Students Kidnapped In Benue Regain Freedom by adecz: 4:13pm On Aug 01, 2025
If no external influence, these fulani
bandit kidnappers generally keep to their
words to release hostages, once the agreed
sums have been paid...

But in southern Nigeria, most kidnappers are

inside job criminals, known to the victim, therefore
they always kpai the victims after collecting ransom.

Its unfortunate that politicians have no will
to fight this terrible legacy of the Buhari era🤨🤨

APC is the government at the centre. The president controls all the security forces, and he's an APC man.
I'm sure you know this, and Tinubu knows this too

Who else should be blamed?
During Jonathan's tenure, tinubu himself blamed Jonathan so during Tinubu's tenure we should apportion the blame to someone else?

So the governors wont take immediate decisions on insecurities in their states until they consult the president for approval? Very laughable.

Why then do your lot criticized El Rufai for insecurities in KD? Why are you condemning Fr Alia for same in Benue? If they were/are helpless since the president have to talk first!

Who is the chief security officer of the state? Tinubu I guess?
