The Adamawa State Government has honoured Super Falcons coach Justine Madugu for taking the team to its 10th WAFCON victory. Madugu is from Adamawa State.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri handed Madugu a three-bedroom bungalow and a cash reward of N50 million for making the state and the nation proud.

Madugu, who hails from Numan LGA, received a hero’s welcome on Friday at the Government House in Yola where Fintiri praised his technical brilliance.

Fintiri who said Madugu’s coaching abilities had always inspired confidence, added, “It is a proud moment for us in Adamawa that one of our own has led Nigeria to victory on the continental stage. His technical intelligence and focus have brought honor not just to Nigeria but to Adamawa State as well.”

Presenting Madugu’s gifts to him, Fintiri reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to develop sports and nurture talents.

In his remarks, Madugu thanked the governor and people of Adamawa State for the warm reception accorded him.

“I’m overwhelmed by what is happening today. I thank God and the government of Adamawa State for this recognition,” Madugu said.

Madugu added, “When I took up this role, I saw it as a challenge to prove that northerners, too, can lead at the highest levels. It was a personal mission to leave a legacy that will inspire respect for our state.”

We will return to reality when the dust settles!

Who is celebrating the 1st class student?
Who is helping indigent students?
Who is funding grassroots tech innovations from young Nigerians?
What is being done for local farmers?

When the formal Imo State governor did the same thing to Igbo's player some useful mumu were just talking rubbish. It's not a force or law to reward the whole team. Everyone came from some where so they should do well to reward their people.
There is money in this country and in our States but the politicians are so wicked not to ensure that the people benefits from it. They have money to reward people and to spend for things that are not helpful to the general population.

I am very happy for him. He has been in the shadows for 37 years as a coach and part of the teams that won prior WAFCONs.

God has lifted him finally. Even the Spanish coach of Morocco could not believe how a black coach from Adamawa could outwit him like that. Praise God for him.
