It took 3 attempts before I could watch this movie. But I'm glad I gave it another try. The movie is good.
I can see why it's breaking records at Netflix

If A24 was scrappling to get the distribution rights of an African film, let alone a film out of Zambian cinema of all places, then you would know it's special ✨.

"On becoming a fking Guinea fowl" is as bizarre and bold as it's title in the best way possible.


It had me diving into Zambian cinema at the time, to see if they could feed me some more...still waiting on my sources to return with the titles i ordered.

Uhm, it's not a flop. Yet. And doing decently well so far. It's just out a week ago.
It's not going to do as well as SUPERMAN tho.

Princess Mononoke.....8.5/10

Top top tier movie. Typical of what you'll expect from a Hayao Miyazaki piece.

It is a story about the struggle between humans, nature, animals and the patron spirits that guides the wild.
It's a struggle for survival between the strong and the weak. With all the belligerents fighting for who comes out top in the war for domination.

Basically, has many human themes of deception, destruction, greed and human needs to dominate every domain they enter.

It's a tale of duty and sacrifice as well as the cycle of life & de@th. It is somewhat a cautionary tale about human modernization and how our expansion and encroachment of wildlife and nature has adverse consequences to the environment at large.
It's pro wildlife and habitat conservation wrapped within a compelling story.

Brilliant movie. Great visuals, top tier music score and an evergreen story and topic that remains relevant to this day. Entertaining from start to finish, while still giving you a good dose of reflection and human complexity.
