this can't be far from the truth, if the politicians have their slots, how many is remaining for the staff who have brothers, sisters, uncles and aunties that are jobless?

japa is for the rich oo as you well mentioned. School fees alone now is about 30 million naira that's £14k , if you have dependant and going for a research based Masters course or PhD then budget N50 million at least.

I m from Delta state but know about Nigeria politics at what point have Ebira rule more than igala.

Being shortlisted only means that you are qualified to sit for the exam, it's not a guarantee that you will get the job. However, considering what you applied for (education officer) you stand a higher chance of being employed compared to people that applied for other positions.

Your friend will still be shortlisted before the exam day.Tell him / her to keep on checking. Shortlisting is a continuous process.

Exactly, he knows not what he's talking about, I schooled in igala land but from South east and I know igala have been dominating them for decades before Yahaya bello assumed office. Even in population igala is by far more than ebira

So, sometime in March, I applied for same job when it was announced. I applied and I prayed for success. Just four days ago, a friend whom we applied same day, called to inform me that the lists of shortlisted candidates have been released and that I should check the Portal. But before I checked, I asked about his own status and he said he wasn't Shortlisted. When he said this, I instantly lost hope. I told him there was no point checking it because I already knew I would not be shortlisted too, so what's the point checking?. He insisted that I check. I was nervous.
To my surprise, I finally checked and saw that I was shortlisted. And I can only pray that I succeed after all. To God be the glory.

For those who are already in the system, how are these things done?.
Secondly, I heard exams/aptitude test would be next, but no date has been fixed yet. Does anyone know the Exact date?
Thirdly, what and what do I need to study ahead of the test?. What are the kind of questions involved? I was told it's Mathematics, English and current affairs. How true is this?
Lastly, how much is the salary for starters when you get a federal civil service job. I can see Grade Level 8 on the dashboard. Does this mean that if I succeed(by God's grace), I would start from level 8?

The job is real as it was published and many people applied for it.

At the moment venues for aptitude Test are been arranged for the various geographical regions.

The Aptitude Test is likely to hold towards end of August or first week of September.

The Aptitude Test will involve English language and current Affairs only.

During the Aptitude test, the examiners will screen your credentials your uploaded during your application.

Ensure you go for the test with originals of all documents you uploaded. Also go with a valid means of identification preferably PVC or NIN SLIP.

You must score 60% and above to be finally successful.
