If you watched yesterday's game against Senegal... You'll know that these Malian girls are Itiboribo.
Still that's not enough reason to consider your opponents in a Final as walk-over.
No coach will ever do that.

How market. Hope it sells well well
So?
People were already talking of dollar gifts before the match, & I only commented Mali is not a walk-over & shouldn't be underestimated.

A president that spends money like it's going out of fashion. Spending a nation's commonwealth like it's drug 🤑 money

Spending may give you a brief high, so you might overspend to feel better.
You might make impulsive financial decisions when you’re experiencing mania or hypomania.

He likes spending show biz money. The money some people spend in party but will not feed their wife at home not pay their children fees.

The girls won with 14 point difference and you say what?

You don't know this game.
Very myopic amd ignorant fellow.

A team has won a competition 5 times in a row..

It clearly shows that we are way above their level when it comes to basketball. The only time we should be fretting would be l when we're on the global stage playing the likes of the USA.

When you find yourself in a position of leadership in Nigeria, do your best. What I habe learned from this Tinubu issue is that humans are the most unpredictable animals in the world. The same set that complains that the government doesn't reward athletes are the same insulting Tinubu for rewarding them. Mehn! Most people are something else.

Another issue is that there are many people who aren't happy about your progress. Most of those comments on the first page exhibit such attitude. They are haters.
most people like to be indignant without thinking ,a lot just follow the herd. No individual thought.

Just imagine how bittered the citizens of a country are about the government supporting sports.

Nigeria is such an unfortunate country.
No country should have citizens like this.
This is a curse.

The Obidient movement is a curse to this nation

When the government have the girls $100k they came out saying the government is spending so much on the African champions while civil servants are paid minimum wage
I asked them to tell us about any country in the world where civil servants earn more than footballers, I am not even talking about footballers who just won a continental championship oh...

No country can move forward with this level of bile, evil hate that Nigerians have for Nigeria.

No people in the world pray for the downfall of their country like Nigerians as a matter of fact it has not been heard of citizens who pray for the downfall of their country until the Obidient movement started.
Nicely put.

It's pretty OBVIOUS from the insidious posts here and comments elsewhere that a lot of these posters are young ones still being feed by their parents and incels. Some others are largely part of the paid ipob troll farms that the "BBC Global Disinformation Team" investigative video report of 2022 exposed for spreading massive disinformation online and offline including beheadings and assassinations of their own kinsman in Nigeria.

100,000 USD per athlete is a standard benchmark for rewarding athletes globally. It's just the current NGN/USD exchange rate that makes it look like big money. I actually heard some random adults (males and females) via online broadcast saying that the money is too much, BUT it all boils down to envy and the pain that they can't have the same gifts the athletes individually received. These folks have to realize that NOBODY owes them anything in life because they have to be individually self-motivated in order to increase their income streams in life. Period

Even their coach that knows the game 100times more than you wouldn't have told the girls before the match that Mali was a walk-over. grin
We are talking of what happened in the match and not the coach"s assessment before it began. Your comment was based on the scores you posted here. Stick to that and don't deflect to the coach.

See below the breakdown of the scores at each quarter. Our girls won 3 out of 4 and that's dominance.
I still maintain you don't know this game more than I do.

Even their coach that knows the game 100times more than you would consider it foolish, to tell the girls before the match that Mali was a walk-over.
It seems like you just started watching FIBA this night.

D'Tigress has never lost a game in this tournament in 10 years.

I'll repeat, when it comes to African women's basketball, including Nigeria in any tournament is just like bringing Bayern Munich to play in the NFL.

I agree but would you prefer the politicians steal the same Money instead? I still prefer the money spent on these ladies doing us proud than a politician stealing it for themselves
