Okwyjesus:And does that change the fact that buying property doesn't confer the status of indigeneship to anyone? Does it remove the fact that their C of O, if they have any is just a certificate of occupancy and not OWNERSHIP? |

The story of Solomon's wisdom with those two women! Take the challenge I have given you. Go to Kano and call it no mans land, tell Kano people that Kano is now federal. Mouth action general! |

By and large, I love these xenophobic moves targeted at the Great Igbos. Let it continue.. It's another reenforcement of the clarion call to stop investing hugely in anywhere outside Igboland One Nigeria is a delusion, has always been and till the end of time. |

The same Lagos state that have sent non-Yoruba's to represent it in Abuja. The same Lagos state that had non-Yoruba commissioners. The same Lagos state that had non-Yorùbá's in their State House of Assembly. The same Lagos state that had a fair amount of non-Yorùbá's as Local government councillors. Obidients, una see una life for outside! |

ProudlyLagos:Deceive your fellow Yurobas! The highest Nigerian tribe in USA is the Igbos! https://www.nairaland.com/5419585/largest-nigerian-populations-us-states Where in Ibadan are you referring to? Bodija, Agodi or Oluyole? Nnewi is more developed than Ibadan despite Ibadan being state capital. I still maintain what I said, Yuroba people don't travel. Ekiti, Osun and Ondo remained one of the worst state and poorest state in the South. The Igbos you are referring to are the richest individual/tribe in this country per capita. |

Yorubas renaming their streets in Lagos is the consequences of "No man's land" slogan of a particular noises maker Tribe in Lagos . More steps is still loading Yorubas fight back with plans not noises . |

adenigga:This is old news. We already knew this week's back. It's totally within the purview of any local government to rename any street or monument appropriately. Some people in that axis and other areas build houses and name streets after themselves WITHOUT official approval if the local authorities. If official approval isn't got, then expect to have renamings of streets down the line. It's just like in the case of Festac Town Extension when the FHA ordered illegal house construction to be stopped, the culprits continued building and later LIED that the FHA didn't inform them BUT unknown to them, the FHA already had secret video recordings of the warnings given years back which were released to the public to debunk the LIES! Second, once again, the official name of that Bus Stop has ALWAYS been Second Pedro Bus Stop NOT Charly Boy (which was just used as an informal or alternate name) because Charles Oputa's rented house was near the 2nd Pedro Bus Stop. Is it too difficult for some of these journalists with media outlets such a as Vanguard and other simpletons who don't know the history of that area of Lagos State to understand? Charly Boy was NOT even a landlord in that Gbagada axis of Lagos but ONLY rented that house from his then landlady and the duplex is visible when driving towards the 3rd Mainland Bridge. Again, Second Pedro Bus Stop has ALWAYS been the real or officially approved name of the bus stop till 2025 when it was officially renamed to Olamide Badoo Bus Stop. There are two bus stop namely First Pedro and Second Pedro Bus Stops along that route. Period. |

Freebills12: your tears are delicious. I can see you have run out of substance and grasping on straws😂😂😂 if shame was a person yet Ogun state the most industrialised state in Nigeria has more industries than the whole moribund industries in your tiny potopoto region😂😂😂 Check most products sold in the market today and tell me which one is produced in nnewi or your potopoto region as a whole😂😂😂 even your rich investors from Alaibo would rather site their investment in yorubaland than that ipob infested region, and yet you here deluding yourself 😂😂😂continue living in lala land….mgbeke feeling funky ![]()

T9ksy:Yeah! We don't. Change the name already! It means nothing to us! We're not people who are unnecessarily emotional like kids over trivial things like changing street names. |
| Re: Amid Controversy, Lagos Council Releases Fresh List Of Renamed Streets by T9ksy(m): 3:34pm On Aug 04, 2025 |
Spandau:if it means nothing to you all, why then are you lot opening numerous threads to yab and call us derogatory names, that our parents didn't give us, when they birthed us? It means nothing to you but who's been hinting at retaliation in the other region and even suggesting , it may lead to a civil war? Sorry but you fool no one but ur selves. |
| Re: Amid Controversy, Lagos Council Releases Fresh List Of Renamed Streets by Spandau: 8:36pm On Aug 04, 2025 |
T9ksy:What is this one saying? Is it not your kith and kin that have been weeping profusely online that we changed street names? You should be happy that it's only street names that has been changed. So whatever you see us do or say online is a response to the rubbish complaints and wailing and insults you dish out daily on Yorubas. |
