From the longest serving president in he world, mbiogo or so of Equatorial guinea, to Paul Biya of Cameroon, Gnasinde of Togo, Kigame of Rwanda though a benevolent dictator., Outarra of Ivory Coast and lots more. They grab power and want to die with it and even pass it to their family while gone.

Paul biya were their Inec version disqualified opposition candidate to challenge Paul biya of 91years running for another term of 8years

Yoweri Museveni looks same in many of his pictures online, as an old man of 80 he is, meaning nothing at all makes this picture different or special.

How else is he supposed to look at 80 plus? Like Kanye West?

Is Putin an African leader? Isnt he himself above 79? Hasnt he been there for years and k-i-lled his oppositions at some points?

XI Jinping has even told the parliament that he will rule for life. is he African too?

At least, these ones are still contesting for elections

Out of the 55 countries here, how are you generalizing with just 3 African leaders doing this? Is 3 greater than the other 50countries that differs in their own system?

Point is, you dont need this hasty generalization and this unneccessary urge to castigate your people for a cri-me of a few.

If you notice Africa and the countries you mentioned China and Russia had an older system where monarchy was the traditional form of government practiced. They have that in common though in different forms.

Democracy is a relatively newer form of government which originated from the west (Greece) Introduced and spread to these countries.

Many of these countries with origins of having a monarch just practice a hybrid of both democracy and monarchy. Or a democracy with many tenets or components of monarchy but just call it democracy.

I may be wrong though but it's just an observation or theory that may have some level of accuracy!
