Congratulations but your visa will be valid for only 3 months. No need to pray and fast over that. There is no exception to that rule for the average citizen applying for b1/b2

I had my visa interview on July 23 in Abuja. It has been six working days since then, and I have not received any email or notification regarding the collection of my passport. I have also checked the OIS Services portal with no updates.

I am scheduled to depart on August 2 and would like to know how to contact the embassy to inform them of the urgency of my situation.

Hi gurus in the house, I’m planning to apply for a visit visa for my parents and my younger sister come next year, she will be almost 19years by the time they will go for their interview. I want to confirm if it’s okay to do their application together where they can all go for the interview on same day or do I have to do hers separately?

I was at the US emabssy today for my B1/B2 application for tourist purpose. I got the visa!!!!!!!!!! I do not know the validity yet untill i get my apssport back.
My tips, be confident, pray and do not speak too much when not asked it will look rehearsed. Please, dress properly, it matters a lot. dress how you want to be addressed.

Arrive early and be done with everything on time. ALL THE BEST!!!!!

How will the person owing loan apps pay for visa and flight ticket. LOL.
They don't check those things. They only want the applicant to convince them of return to home country.

The agent that helped with my application said he applied for myself and wife separately tho our dates are on the same day. I am guessing we will be interviewed separately as I guess they cannot interview our children

They should apply together as family since they are all going for the same visa category. But on the day of their visa interview, they must tell the visa officer same story. 👍

But there is no more group appointment. Or is there anything like family appointment now on avits? And they will have the same day and time for interview? How? Please enlighten me.

Yes there is no more "General Group Appointment", but there is still " Family Group Appointment (if those family are all applying for the same visa category ie B2 visas.

Nevertheless, there is grace clause for the principal applicant (eg the father) to apply together with only one person within the family if such person is applying for a different visa category (ie father is applying for B1 and a daughter is applying for f1).. 👍

Hi everyone, I’m trying to register on AVIS and start the visa application for my parents while still keeping the DS-160 open (un-submitted) in order to quickly pick any date available next year but after creating a profile, it’s saying “USER IS INACTIVE” on AVITS, is it mandatory to submit the DS-160 now before someone can go ahead to apply for the visa cos I was wondering what could be the issue. Please enlighten me 🙏🏾

Also make sure the agent did not lie on your form cos na ban for life be that one.
I don't know why you used an agent when you could have gotten all your answers here. Do ensure you know what the agent filled in the form. Hopefully it is the truth. If you lie or present any fake document. They will ban you from travelling to the US for life.

You can book a family appointment in the scene 1 (attached). They called it " Create New",

The one that is obviously indicated in the scene 2 (group appointment attached) is prohibited for Nigerians. 👍

Yes, I did the same but still the portal separated the appointment dates for each applicant even we get different days and times for the appointment. These people are not smiling at all.
