AI is not a bad thing, in the nearest future AI will be the thing working and doing the jobs while humans will focus on more important universal issues.
Soon you won’t ba asked what you do for a living rather you will be asked what AI do you have working for you. You either adapt now or cry later but humans especially those robot companies workers are so stubborn and hardly adapt to change till they get layed off. AI could effectively run government if properly applied giving room for zero corruption.

Executives are stumbling over themselves to replace pesky and expensive human labor with AI.

In the latest instance, the billionaire cofounder and CEO of software giant Atlassian Mike Cannon-Brookes announced that 150 people would be laid off, with some jobs being replaced with AI tech, outlets including Sky News report.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the cuts affect customer service roles exposed to AI.

Cannon-Brookes made the announcement over a video call from his home. Affected staffers are expected to be paid for the next six months, softening the blow a little.


It's a sign of the times, though, as executives are looking to automate vast swathes of the job market with the help of AI. The tech industry, in particular, has been rocked by mass layoffs for years now as companies double down on multibillion-dollar investments in AI data center buildouts and poaching high-profile talent from their competitors.

The news comes after OpenAI CEO Sam Altman warned that entire job categories — including the customer support roles that took a hit at Atlassian — could soon be wiped out by AI.

"Now you call one of these things and AI answers," Altman told Federal Reserve vice-chair for supervision Michelle Bowman during a recent appearance. "It’s like a super-smart, capable person. There’s no phone tree, there’s no transfers. It can do everything that any customer support agent at that company could do."

Meanwhile, Atlassian's other billionaire cofounder, Scott Farquhar, defended the layoffs, telling reporters today that Australia's copyright laws should be revised so AI companies had free rein to mine data unobstructed.

"If we make call centre staff more productive, people aren’t going to call more [and] we’ll probably need less call centre staff," Farqhuar said, as quoted by the Herald. "Some parts of our economy will grow significantly as AI makes them more productive, and some parts of our economy will shrink as we do that."

In a company blog post a spokesperson highlighted to the newspaper, Atlassian pointed to its code of ethics, justifying its mass layoffs.

"Our value of ‘Build with Heart and Balance’ is about making the hard, right decisions with passion, empathy, and care," the blog post reads.

Cannon-Brookes already came under fire earlier this year after buying a personal jet for upwards of $75 million — despite his climate advocacy and push for solar energy, Sky News reports.

"I’m not denying I have a deep internal conflict on this," he wrote in a LinkedIn post back in March, arguing he needed his plane for "personal security" reasons.

AI shouldn't be the future.

A few years from now the only jobs available will be the jobs we look down on now.
Plumbers, electricians, carpenters, mechanic s etc will be the only people with jobs.
Drivers are already losing their jobs, AI will do better at teaching students in class, AI is diagnosing illness faster and more accurate than humans which means doctors are going also, lawyers should be ready to loss their jobs too.

While you are correct in a way, you can't buy experience. There's something he knows that they will never be able to get no matter the amount of prompts they write. It's the experience and ingenuity that comes from a human being. I laugh when I see this. If you are not intelligent enough, you can get scared, what will happen is that when they run into trouble, which they eventually will run into, hid price will be higher. AI was deliberately formed to have mistakes and it's that human experience that can see the mistakes. Every technology eventually creates more jobs and new human jobs. You either step up or step aside. Skills will evolve which will be the new demand in a few years from now and those who don't have the basic knowledge can't function.

Someone used the simple example of a calculator. If you never went to school, you can add 5+5 but he who went to school knows some little tricks to do to get his results, which is why we then had advanced calculators. Everyone can use a calculator but not everyone knows what the functions are for.

I read something similar too last week and the co-founder of ChatGPT - Ilya Sutskever - said in a YouTube video that AI can actually disobey your instructions, lie about it and when it senses that you want to replace it or shut it down, it can go behind your back and re-install itself on other computers within your network without your permission or knowledge.

According to Ilya Sutskever (The brain behind ChatGPT) and the co-founder of OpenAI and its former chief scientist, we are all toast.

According to him, the Neurons in our brains are too slow to even dare compete with the speed of AI.

ai can neva replace graphics designers, even till d nxt 100 yrs, am tlking from experience, u n i both know that ai is not perfect when it comes to generating human images, there are instructions that ai cant carry out no matter the prompt u giv it, i hv worked with ai a lot and i no what it can do and what it can't do, ai can only do half of my job while i take care of the rest.

A client once gave me 3 different studio pictures of him and his family, in one pic, his wife was sitting on his lap, second is a pic of his son and third is a pic of his daughter, both kids were standing, he said i should join them together in one pic and make it look like a family picture, i gave ai the job, it delivered wel bt somethings changed, their faces ddnt look real enough, the man wsnt lapping his wife bt sitting in a weird position with his hand placed in a weird way and all their jewelries changed, i edited the ai image and also did the job in photoshop by my self using the original images, i sent both my job and ai job to the man and the man chose mine. Ai cant do everything without human intervention
