The truth to kiss is that none of the past presidents of Nigeria came prepared for the office. From
- Obasanjo who was recruited from prison unprepared by exiting military Junta
- to late Yar'adua who wanted to retire to a university campus to take of his health before being selfishly recruited by Obasanjo.
- to Jonathan who was a passive VP before the death of Yar'adua threw him forward,
- to Buhari who came with almost questionable intellect
- and to Tinubu who although coveted power for long. still came disappointingly unprepared.

By the way, it will be the biggest tragedy if Peter Obi along with his think tank hasn't by now developed a roadmap to solve Nigeria's numerous problems. I hope he does.

Have you questioned why Obi left APGA after he promised not to leave? If he couldn't keep that promise, how are we sure he will keep one term promise? What magic will one term performance change when his 8years in Anambra couldn't make any better changes? Or is he just coming for one term to share money and leave us with excuses why he couldn't do this or that. He should go and sit down somewhere, his four years can't make any serious changes, let Tinubu continue till 2031. Endure till 2031

Two things.

One, a typical Nigerian 2-term president actually do EFFECTIVE governance for four years out of eight because of reelection bid and succession shenanigans. Just like what is currently happening in Nigeria.

Two, any elected presidential candidate who moves into the Aso Rock Villa with well-researched, brainstormed and developed compendium of transformative policy ideas, vital reforms, programs, etc, to solve critical national problems and boost economic activities, will hit the ground running. And he would achieve a lot in four years.

Our bar has been too low in Nigeria since the return to democracy in 1999. We have had 26 years of slow motion governance with a lot of looting. There have been much empty talk about diversification of our economy with less progress. Most of the sectors of the economy are crying for review and modernization of processes. There is inexplicable fear about implementing Orasanye panel report to plug leakages in governance. It has been trial and error, knee-jerk policies and scattergun approach. We deserve better

Nothing warranted Peter Obi doing one term when he served as Anambra governor. There was no compelling reality.

Unlike now, someone from the south has done 4 years and Peter Obi is promising to serve out the remaining 4 years. That’s the difference.

Do you really blame them? Many, despite their academic qualifications, seem to lack a deeper understanding of the political context. They’ve misinterpreted Obi’s position, which is rooted in maintaining the North-South power rotation. His stance is that since Tinubu, a southerner, has completed four years, he should also complete the remaining four to preserve that balance. Unfortunately, even some who claim to be intellectuals fail to grasp this strategic reasoning, choosing instead to engage in sensationalism rather than informed analysis.

When you want to talk in a public forum like this, it is expected of you to argue with facts and contribute meaningfully to the discuss, not talking like a child in kindergarten.

Most of you supporting Tinubu’s government do that just because of tribal sentiments, not for the love of Nigeria. However, we still have a whole lot of people from the West who knows the truth that Tinubu has nothing to offer and lacks the capacity to transform the country.

Peter Obi has said over time what he intends to do when he gets there. Did Tinubu have such Blueprint before now? He announced the removal of subsidy, though a good thing, but not well thought out....just arrogance.
