If you are an un-accompanying in the application, she may sponsor you upon her arrival in Canada. In fact, there is even an option to become an accompanying again after COPR, when the application for PR is in process

Please withdraw this advice this 2025, if you try to add an accompanying spouse after receiving your COPR but before landing, the COPR may be cancelled and reprocessed and anything can happen during that process. IRCC has become stricter, as seen in recent ADRs and PR refusals.
The better and safer option is for the principal applicant to first land in Canada, obtain PR status, and then sponsor the unaccompying spouse through the spousal sponsorship program.

IRCC being stricter has nothing to do with the law. There is a clear procedure of amending the family composition after the PR (not EE, but PR) application is processed. It does require a LOT of due diligence and I'd not recommend doing it by self without a legal advisor but it's possible and more than doable. There is no legal ground for IRCC to cancel COPR just because an applicant has the circumstances changes. It's not true

Mr lawyer,I laugh at you. An applicant initially declared their spouse as unaccompanying just to boost their CRS score and get an ITA. Now that they’ve received COPR, they suddenly want to add the spouse back, thinking it’ll be a smooth ride. Go ahead and try it then come back and tell us how it went. That strategy don cast.
I just hope others won’t fall for this and land themselves in trouble. I personally know someone who, just last month, had to apply for reconsideration after trying to add an unaccompanying spouse. IRCC recalculated her CRS score with the spouse included and she became ineligible.

And do I need to translate them? I am not certain if Italian sworn translator will be accepted for IRCC since I hear that they are pretty strict now

What about proof of funds? Mine is about 40 pages and there are several stamps which are not in English. do I need to have it translated?

If you are not aware how an immigration system works, please read carefully and study it prior to expressing your opinion. Knowing someone who did something does not qualify to be a subject matter expert. Changing a family composition after COPR is possible, it is legal. Would I recommend anyone to do it? - no, unless a person knows how to do it right. Doable? Yes, know multiple cases from 2024 and 2025 when it was done, though the efforts were significant (still less than the spousal sponsorship).
Bottomline: if you are not aware how to do it, have doubts etc., go for the safer side and apply for the sponsorship later

Hello house,
I need advice as I have almost gotten to the point of giving up on this Canadian PR.
I and my husband are in the pool with me as the main applicant. We currently have a score of 375.
But it seems like they won't be calling that any time soon at this rate. I have tried to look into most PNP routes and we av applied for mpnp and I have 609 ranking points, I have B.sc in computer science buh I don't have tech experience and my ielts score is L-7.0, R-6.0, W-6.5 and S-7.5
Is there anything I am over looking ?
Is there another route we can consider again for PR?
Please I need advice. My NOC is Administrative Assistant.
I have considered learning French but I think it would take me too long as I am overwhelmed with al lot of other activities at the moment.

We nhave the same NOC. Anyways I started learning french in July 2023 and finished July 2024. Took couple of months before i passed my exam, just waitng for French draw. You should take the step if you feel that's your only option

Yes, you're overlooking your English Proficiency.

With this ielts score, you're leaving a lot of points on the table. Your next agenda should be to rewrite your English test and max it out, this should propel your score significantly.

In addition, if you truly want the PR, learning French might be the sure ticket as your NOC is not targeted by IRCC at the moment.
