I and a believer from another church had this debate recently.
And he was quoting and emphasizing 1 cor. 11:15 to me.

And I'm trying to make him understand through 1 Cor. 11:5-6a that the so-called covering (woman's hair) he is emphasizing must be covered else her "woman's hair" is till as though she was shaven.

"If she will not cover her head (or hair), then let her also shave it".

Paul only used 1 Cor. 11:15 as a moral/example of nature.

We need to balance scripture.

Paul was talking about two different cases in this chapter:
A woman in the gathering of Christians and the woman who is the only baptized member in the gathering.
As for the women in the congregation they don't need a head covering when they have long hairs but since it's unchristian for a female to preside over men in the church {1Timothy 2:12} to show that such position belongs only to the males in a Christian gathering when there is no baptized male then the baptized female must use a cloth to cover her head as a sign that such office belongs only to males who are heads over the females {1Corinthans 11:3} this is compulsory because of angels in our gathering they don't tolerate females being head over males during worship! 1Corinthans 11:10
