Common among women, most especially those who have mentality "my man" would responsible for everything I need. After all, I'm a woman.

In Africa (Nigeria) the reasons are beyond the ones you highlighted. Add black tax and too many kids. We work so hard and spend the whole of our youth tending to everyone but ourselves. Before we know it 40yrs, then 50-55yrs. Energy dips and we start waiting to reap the fruit of our labour (kids).

Rinse and repeat...

Most people don't watch TV all day. I mean even those who don't can still be caught up in this. Here's how it manifests: you watch TV/home videos/series till very late at night, maybe 2pm. The following morning, you either wake up late or too tired - so you don't achieve your objectives for that day. In fact, you put off some things till tomorrow. This goes on and you make less than you ought to be making.

Even in marital failures, blaming others contribute significantly, couples who have much more kids, they can cater for, would start blaming govt and family member that are doing well with little children they can care for.

No life passion makes you have no hobbies which still makes Tv ur go to
Comfort zone makes you have no Passion at all which makes you turn to 2 and 1

Blaming others is the low hanging fruit and the excuse for not achieving.

investing money in people or things that have no economic benefit or return, in my reasoning, is one of the surest means to stay poor
