That same N10m in treasury bills would have yielded N2.4m annually. N200k monthly for the year. It is not ideal income but bro will never get desperate unless he miss uses money.

Just saying, nobody should fight me please.
It is 24% for treasury bill now? Thought it’s 18%.

I have some questions:
_ Is it advisable to study all the listed courses or only the courses that are inter-related should be studied?
_ You said something about at JSS 3, they should nt further. How will they write external exam to further abroad?

Till students are taught that going to school isn't meant for you to graduate and get a good paying job but to find your inner self and create opportunity for yourself in an economy like Nigeria then most graduate will always be lost after graduation. Graduate and get a job is a borrowed maxim from advanced planned economies like the Western countries where in a place like US with 50 states, you have an average of at least 100 companies worth a billion dollar per state but in
a place like Nigeria with two thirds of US population we don't even have up to a total of 20 companies worth a billion dollars nationwide with just few mid scale companies but hundreds of thousands of graduates are produced every year with mindset of getting jobs after graduation. From where?
even creating business on your own without capital is just a dream that's not going to manifest. Our government isn't helping matters in the areas of vocational skills acquisition

is the fg going to employ millions of people niii.

Everything in Nigeria is about connections. Even in the church if you are not connected, forget it. This is Nigeria where evil things works.
If the local, state and federal governments are making basic services and utilities available to everyone, they will employ millions of civil servants who will then create the environment for private companies to employ even more workers. Things like water supply, electricity supply, sanitation, sewage disposal and treatment, free education and healthcare, law and order, security etc.

What do you think that ebilokan meant when he promised to recruit 50 million soldiers and later that he would revive the economy by creating jobs in millions?

Tinubu sets 3-year economic revival, 50million jobs target

August 29, 2023

President Bola Tinubu who reiterated his commitment to economic revatalisation said he will not permit indolence or any act capable of derailing his ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ by any of his ministers.

He gave a marching order to the 45-member of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) to perform or be ready to be fired for incompetence.
>>
>>
Edun said the Tinubu administration inherited a bad economy with an unacceptable high rate of unemployment, and with inflation standing at 24%.

He said:“Per capital has fallen steadily, inflation is at 24 percent, unemployment is high, you know m are rebasing the way in which it’s calculated. Either way, it is high and youth unemployment is even unacceptably high, these are the key metrics that we have met.”
>>
>>
Edun said: “Clearly, *the Federal Government is not in a position to borrow at this time*. Rather, the emphasis has to be on creating a stable, macroeconomic environment. Stable inflation, stable exchange rate, an environment within which people can come and invest and thereby increase production and further grow the economy; Improve and create jobs and reduce poverty.
>>
>>
Anite said President Tinubu was planning to create 50 million jobs.

She stressed: “In Mr. President’s manifesto during his campaigns, he promised 50 million jobs and that’s our target. We will take it in phases; we are looking at different sectors of the economy that will contribute to this job creation chief among them is the creative industry and the digital economy, and then the agric sector, agro-processing zones, and mining, oil and gas. So we’re very confident that we will achieve this.”

You have a point but that is not how small businesses work. You must have the skill or experience in that business. Also you must have other related soft skills pertaining to money management.
90% of 18-20 years who has never seen 500k in their account before will blow #10m is handed to them easily .
You are right at some point. If his/her passion is supported same way his education is supported, he will make mistakes and get to perfection driven with passion.

We go to school yo fail and pass, and make mistakes and correct. That’s what makes us graduate.

In such case, if parents exposed him to books, softwares and mentors that could lead, he will turn out to be the best. I have observed those people are driven by a different zeal only to be cut short.

Imagine Serena being a Nigerian, she would have been a lawyer.😆

Do you know better than ebilokan and his finance minister about how unemployment is WORSE than when PDP deregulation and privatisation capitalists were in office?

Why did PDP leaders not borrow as much money when they didn’t have $84 billion from subsidy savings? Is that because APC leaders looters are worse rogues as confirmed by Oshiomhole who called them the Association of Past Criminals?

if you checked APC leaders/looters that you are castigating here, they are former PDP members and leaders. It's the mentality that should be changed and not the individuals. The current system Nigeria isn't helping Nigeria youths seeking jobs after finishing degrees.

you are just attacking Tinubu here. Tinubu isn't the problem, it's the elites that got huge funds that wastes the huge funds on frivolities that we should blame most. Ask questions why this elites not investing much on vocational skills training in their various States, communities and towns?

chisomkachy:
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu’s first supplementary budget includes a fleet of SUVs for himself and his wife, a presidential yacht and the renovation of his villa amid a cost-of-living crisis for some of the poorest people in the world.

The proposal — which seeks additional funding beyond the annual budget approved by Tinubu’s predecessor — comes as the government asks Nigerians to persevere through pain caused in part by a raft of economic reforms ushered in by the new president. Africa’s most populous country faces rampant unemployment, soaring food prices and a plummeting currency.

Federal lawmakers approved the president’s request for extra spending on Thursday, but eliminated the provision of 5 billion naira ($6.01 million) to buy a presidential yacht. Instead, they doubled the allocation to a student loan fund to 10 billion naira, according Abubakar Bichi, chairman of an appropriations committee in the House of Representatives.

The lawmakers approved 1.5 billion-naira proposed to purchase SUVs for the office of First Lady Oluremi Tinubu — an amount larger than that allocated to many individual federal colleges. The supplementary budget also proposes almost 6 billion naira to purchase SUVs for the presidency — more than the amount initially allocated to fund a student loan program for poor families.

even the Loan apps aren't helping matters in getting capital funds, their interests is much . The government at both the state and FG level can solve issues in the areas of accessing funds easily. But no they gave loan apps company and they get the funds back from their interest rates. The interest is much. Trump have to reduce interest for Americans to invest more in business and other investments in America.

I see many people saying abroad is the best to study and they gave places like USA Canada etc.
See the only advice I will advice any nigerian parent is this. Instead of wasting your money sending your child abroad for education or even study in nigerian institutions first please do this.

1, get your child the latest computer money can buy that your money can afford, just makesure it has very good powerful processor and a wonderful graphic card to boost his or her productivity.
2, get them stable power source to power their computer e.g and inverter.

3, get a good internet connection device e.g starlink or any one you can afford.
Then push them to go to youtub. I.e youtube academy or courses or edx where they get free courses.

Now these are the courses you should encourage your child to study 100% free online as long as you make them study for good 5 to 6 hours uninterrupted daily
Courses include
A, robotic engineering
B, artificial intelligence
C, 3D modelling and agumented reality
D, geology and mining ( mostly gold mining and letium mining colbat etc)
F, drone modelling and drone technology.
G, rocket science technology
H, 3d game design and production.
I, automated agricultural technology
J, mechanical engineering and mechatronics
K,product design and assembly.
All these i just listed here you can stay for free and get so many resources on youtube to learn from great teachers you just have to know where to look.

And makesure they learn how to make use of AI( great emphasis on this) as it will help them boost their productivity.
When they have like 4 to 5 years studying in that field, then send them abroad to study further. And please dont send them to any other country but China to study please dont ever make the mistake of thinking or even phantom the idea of sending them to either america or Canada etc. Let it be CHINA. And let them take extra curriculum on learning Chinese language so they can communicate easily when they get there.
If you child graduates in any of these fields and he or she makes up their mind to come establish in nigeria after, give them few years they will be your greatest achievement in life and you will be so so happy you did this.

Please and please infactafter jss3, I wouldn't advice you to send your child to school further just put them to youtube academy and let them make a choice from those list above.
Just make sure you keep your eyes on them and dont let outside influence to make them commit to online fraud doing yahoo because they see their friends making banks and buying cars at the moment because I the next 7 to 8 years after God's willing your children have long life and you live long to see them succeed those their mate doing fraud buying luxury stuff atm will come buy tech stuff and devices from them to survive.

In summary, never send them go higher institution in nigeria or america or Canada. Come back and thank me later.
And finally pardon my grammatic errors in typing i am human and not AI.
you made a lot of sense. Only difference in my point is I will allow my kids finish senior secondary school. Many Nigerians have not yet accepted the reality that degrees in Nigeria are currently a waste of time and resources. They still see those without degrees as illiterates where as most of them are the illiterates. Anybody that can read and write is no longer an illiterate. A friend that graduated two years ago and yet to secure a job was telling me she wanna go for masters in Nigeria this year, I told her I wouldn’t advise anybody to do Bsc talk more msc in Nigeria. She was now saying but me I did bsc why will I advise others not to. I told her times have changed and one has to change along with it. Some of us got degrees here because we were ill-informed.

With your army kid's background, which position did you hold at ipob/ESN or were you just using mouth to send youths to the bush camps where they were wasted?

Another painful truth is that many graduates are not employable and skillful in what they study. Instead of many to concentrate on personal development, many were busy running after Davido, Burna Boy, Ronaldo and Messi. They have laptops that could be used for researches and personal development under rigorous discipline, but unfortunately; they were busy using them to watch movies series by series, playing games, listen to music only and for social media abuse. After graduation, they become incompetent in what they studied.

Before graduation from universities or polytechnic, always have plan B that is easy as ABC to venture into to avoid painful experience. There is competition for little jobs available today, you must go extra miles from what your professors taught you in schools and get loaded with relevant ideas if you want your service to be needed.
You are on point.

Dysfunctional system, institutional failure and insensitivity of political leaders sum up the problem of Nigeria
A system that rewards mediocrity will definitely breed frustration: Mean while those who read the same course with you who are connected are working in NNPC, CENTRAL BANK ETC
it is not actually the course you read or that you're not employable but a failed state
