This nonsense started with Rowan Williams. His predecessor, Carey was openly against it even when he came to Nigeria in 2001, he was very livid with any suggestion towards that. God will help his church, Amen. God Bless the Anglican Church! |

fergie001:Do you know "Anglican" means "English"? You just said "bless the English church" or "Church of a Country called ENGLAND" (NOT Nigeria!) |

Did this church have a headquarter? Did their headquarter know about this? Did the headquarter approve it? Jesus said: "By their fruits you will know" Matthew 7:16 |

Instead of what is written in God's word most religions seeks the approval of the majority around them so they won't lose followers that is why these religions goes where billions turns to! Matthew 7:13-14 |

Are some members of the Church of Nigeria not secretly traditionalists? Members of Ogboni and the likes? Please remove the log of wood from your own eye first. |

fergie001:Bishop Vann is simply wasting her time , the African Anglican Church has no interest in these kinds of shenanigans. If they can’t accept polygamy, then Africa won’t be embracing same-sex relationships either. |

Gradually when they take over all the church in the west they will be proposing to their political leaders impose stiff penalties on countries that that are critical on their ideology. If care is not taken a gay pope will be unveiled at the Vatican |

HeatSeeker:The church frowns at it and any priest who is discovered to be involved is defrocked immediately. For those who aren't priests, it is mandatory and announced that the church will not be involved with that person, that is if it doesn't lead to excommunication. This was a law by the Anglican Church when the Church was criticised following the burial of the late Bola Ige. He was strongly Anglican from his childhood days to his death, unbeknownst to the church he was Rosicrucian, so Anglican Priests and laity are barred from attending or getting involved. |

Well, For what it's worth, I remember back in the day In 2003 or there about When all adult Nigerian was mandated to pay 5000 naira as endowment fund. Because the church of England had assumed a stance unknown to nature on the same sex issue So I am perplexed that this would be an issue to Nigerian communion of the Anglican church if they have dissociated themselves from the English mother church as far back as the early 2000s |

Why don't you people break away from these woke "he-diots & she-diots". Imagine electing a practicing "homo" to head the Church of Jesus Christ. A clear indication of the current mindset of the vast majority of their woke clergy men.

ClassicMan202:Homosexual church leaders isn't a new thing na.... It's been on for a long time. God is very patient with such erring/sexual confused leaders and gives them much time to repent. We are under the dispensation of GRACE that's why many spiritual leaders misbehave on the altar and no instant judgement...but grace will soon give place to WRATH. |

In as much as I hate gay Evolution will always happen there is nothing we can do about it. Back in 2000 If a lady wear trouser it was looked at as OS. I remember vividly how a woman wearing trouser was seen as OS Now girls wear trouser to work to church it is now normal. They even wear far worse revealing clothes now. It's called Cultural evolution If this generation don't accept gays The next generation will accept them Then you will be old complaining about how youths lack morals. The same way old people today talk about how they dressed cooperate and neat but guys of today piercing ears, braiding hairs, tattoos , rocking dada. It's a cultural evolution. Things that were seen as abomination in the past will be the in thing of the future. Give Nigeria the next 2 generations Gays will be openly accepted. There is nothing you can do about it As sad as it is,it is the date that awaits all civilization in this world. You can't stop it |

Ezeama400:They have long pulled out during the Primacy of Timothy Omotayo Olufusoye, Nigeria's first Metropolitan however all Bishops worldwide meet at the Lambeth Conference under the headship of the Canterbury once in 10 years. Fortunately or unfortunately, the Canterbury is appointed by the King (or Queen) of England, and they sometimes pick people who are .......you know! |

fergie001:There are influential members of the laity involved in one thing or the order. People only find out at their deaths. The Church of Nigeria should face it's own homegrown issues and leave others alone. |
