These athletes have earned with their sweat for an outstanding performance. Let others too do something to be proud of so that the become recognized for their efforts.

An outstanding performance making 5th consecutive win in a row but 7 in total.

The same with the 10th win by the Super Falcons. They have been working hard and it's just time for their sweat to turn to sweet.

Now let us broaden our perspective, the English Female Football team, Lionesses just defended their Euro Title but they have been complaining bitterly about being treated unfairly because of their gender being female.

Only Igbos songs at the parade. Why not play something in English? And also not everyone of them is a Christian but they only play Igbo Christian songs.

I am obedient....

When one brings honour and glory to one's country, it's only natural to be recognized and rewarded.

Some people are angry for what they term a "largesse" or a "reckless spending spree", first for the Super Falcons and now D'Tigress.

This incentive will serve as motivation to others to do even more in not just in sporting competitions alone but in other endeavors as well.

Building a nation takes collective efforts and not a one-man-show.

This is diametrically opposed to those crop of unscrupulous Nigerians who tarnish the country's image abroad.


Do good deeds, get rewarded!


Kudos to the D'Tigress for bringing glory to motherland Nigeria.

With such low morale because of poor remunerations, how do you expect Nigerian to enjoy peace and security, when soldiers are poorly paid, yet sports people receive such huge amounts for winning competitions in a few days?

Nigerian companies need to start endorsing our sport men and women the way American companies are doing.

The US players don't get much from the government; rather, they make a lot of money from endorsements.

For instance, individual US athletes who win gold will get $37k from the government, but some of these guys are making millions in endorsements.

Oya oh...it is the season of 100k usd. In everything you do, have value! You know the most valueless humans in Nigeria today? The Agberos and online fighters standing on mandate...with all the standing, they never see the kind money the sports people have gotten or national honour!

It's lack of patriotism that's worrying our men football. Though I understand the government has not been caring about them in the past but at least things are changing gradually.

Let them also change their attitudes whenever playing for Super Eagles. We can't be in the same group with the likes of South Africa, Rwanda and Benin and still be struggling to qualify from the group

Wasteful in my opinion. Funds like this should be invested in secondary school sports development, facilities and proper talent identification, not on foreign based athletes.
