Why Are Nigerians Always Quiet? by Zaheertyler(op): 8:43am On Aug 05, 2025
I was going to make this post a few days back but i kept deleting but since it keep burdening my heart I will talk regardless
I was out for a program and we had to sleep in a school
I made a honest remark about how I didn’t like the condition of the school which is a community secondary school and the other members of my team were like ..they were even impressed by the condition of the school and started explaining how the condition of the schools in the places and states they live in are
I was suprised ..I grew up in Lagos and fashola may have improved the standards of the schools around my the area I grew up so maybe I was being ignorant of a lot of factors
Honestly I couldn’t sleep I was just feeling burdened angry and helpless..not to the politicians this time around but to each and everyone of us as claiming to be citizens..how did we become this timid and selfish that nobody cares for the common good of the society
Now all you are worried about who will be your next leaders come 2027 to come and do the same rinse and repeat gbana leadership
I’m not against voting them in because it is actually inevitable but when will we start holding this brothers in politics accountable
If something as little as education can be this poor
The very foundation of societal growth then we have no right to complain about the moral decadence going on in our society
we are all responsible for it
I won’t talk much but offer simple solutions like I always do
Bring out funds for upgrading this schools to standards and also quarterly maintenance funds
Very good standards
Then delegate like 4 nscdc officials or man o war to protect this schools from being used as a drug haven or cultist ground and this will also protect the school properties from vandalism
Thank you and God bless

Nigerian citizens don't understand the concept of democracy, in a democracy the people who employ the politicians to work on their behalf have an active role, to check the politicians and correct them, by protests, pickets, and recalls etc...

Maybe that is why the system is like this so that the people don’t wake up

Also if you talk to much they will not address the issue with the laws by thugs. So if you want want to get hit by the thugs shut up.

Remember thugs comes in different shapes and forms. If a teache or lecturer failed you because you complained about the deplorable condition of the school. That’s thugs approach
