Obi is letting his base down. He shouldn't be surprised when his base lets him down too. If he isn't in this for the long haul, he should just enter his house.

It is not desperation. It's is ambition and ambition is priceless. Albeit, Atiku is the road block standing before Obi and his ambition.

As an Aticulate back in 2019, one would espect Atiku to shelve his presidential ambition now as an elder state man.

If you believe Emilokan actually means desperation then I wonder why you won't believe 'I will do only one term' is desperation.

I dont think it's a sign of desperation. it actually answers some unasked questions.....
The pictures of Obi serving food was from an event that is well documented and he wasn't the only dignitary that served food. lets juxtapose it with the video of Wike cooking soup that went viral while he was governor of Rivers state (There was no much ado about that then).
So many notherners nurse the fear that if you give a fresh southerner the presidency he may want a second term (which is the only reason they betrayed GEJ during the 2015 election)

So, from what I see here. The Only option is to bring GEJ back. As he constitutionally tie to do just 4yrs and bounce, then power returns to the North.
