I look at the talks about Casado vs De Jong sometimes and I just shake my head.

Same De Jong that will do that shït he does, and lose possession while at it but can't quickly track back or charge the player he lost the ball to to regain it back. He'll leave the duty of rectifying his brain fart to his fellow teammates instead of him doing it himself.
You don't see that with players like Pedri, Casado or Gavi, even Fermin Lopez. You collect ball from those players legs, they'll certainly hunt you down till you lose the ball or you lose the advantage you had.

Ask our walking Dutchman to do the same, na mbanu you go get!

My opinion about all your midfielders is that the best is Pedri, followed by Dejong. But Dejong in the DM position is asking for too much trouble. He's a player that needs protection but here he's the protector. No team is getting away in UCL with a player like Dejong as protector. Not happening.

Dejong is a central midfielder that needs a defensive midfielder to pair with. His best football was with Xavi with Busquet as anchor. At Ajax, he had Lascher Shone. Xavi although a wack coach never trusted him in that role and would rather play the shadow of Busquet than play him. There's a reason Xavi rushed to buy average Joe Romeu to protect Dejong. He's a CM not DM. Lacks positional awareness so much.

Dejong is better than Casado overall but as a DM, Casado clears him so much that it's not close. I'm happy that people like Swiiz already see how good Casado is and I think he'll do better in that DM role for United and other EPL teams including Chelsea. I mean Casado is better than Maino and Bruno in that CM/DM role. For 30m? EPL should be looking 👀

You have to consider someone who's actively receiving a bid from another club. You can't just sell anyone you want. I don't know which club wants to sign FdJ.

From what I said earlier, if Fermin and Casado are receiving bids from other clubs, then we should sell Casado, as he's dispensable in this current setup.

Everybody knows that Marc Casado is not going to be a starter. So why keep him if another club wishes to pay €30-40m for him? If he goes another season without being a starter, then his value start going down.

We need to be smart in sports business.

Sell Casado as how? If there's anyone to sell, Casado should be very far from that list as this reeks of recency bias.
When De Jong was absent and when he came back and was still performing shïte, who was the one who held the fort and gave defensive and midfield balance? Yes, it was Casado. Who gave Pedri the free-est space to do what he does best creating chances without bordering about defense. Still, Casado.

Casado has so many positives to give the team that just a slight dip in performance closer to the end of the season after turning in a superb performance should just be thrown under the bus. Especially when we've given one Dutch hype merchant chances upon chances for over 7 yrs.

If you check forward passes among Curbasi, De Jong & Casado. FJD has the lowest numbers.

Besides I don’t dislike Casado. I only feel that we have too many players in the midfield. 8 players fighting for only 3 positions, some players will suffer from lack of game time. If we catch in on one of them except Pedri and Olmo, i think we’ll benefit more.

Realistically, I don’t see us selling FdJ. If he leaves, it might be on free transfer or a very low fee. He’s still a very top class footballer and he’s at his best moment. I still see lots of upwards for him.

It’s not his right to help us register player since he will be out for 4 months ,but him refusing shows how toxic he is
