A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Adamu Maina Waziri, has described the administration of President Bola Tinubu as a total disaster that has underperformed even compared to the much criticised government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

In an interview with Trust Television, Waziri expressed grave concerns over the state of governance in Nigeria, warning that the country is sliding dangerously into deeper crises under Tinubu’s leadership.

“If the Buhari government was a failure, the Tinubu government in the last two years is a disastrous catastrophe,” he said adding that “It has failed in all ramifications, and the country has regressed.”


He cited growing insecurity, worsening economic hardship, and increased corruption as hallmarks of the current administration’s failure.

“The economy is collapsing, ethnocentrism is at an all-time high, and insecurity continues to ravage many states,” he added.

Waziri argued that under Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria has not only lost its sense of national direction but has also become more fragile and polarized.

He noted that those endorsing the government often come from areas directly affected by banditry and violence, making their support puzzling and disingenuous.

“I am surprised that people whose local governments are under the control of bandits can appear on national television to endorse this government,” he said.

He called for a sober assessment of the administration’s performance, urging Nigerians to look beyond media appearances and staged endorsements.

According to him, a government that has presided over national decline in every sector cannot credibly seek reelection.

Just because Tinubu govt didn't favour them, they're bitter and 'lambaring' anyhow not because they hv Nigerian masses at heart.

The same way Tinubu and his co-conspirators didn't give Jonathan breathing space just few years into his administration. Do you know what! Even when Jonathan tried to entrench inclusiveness in our polity by way of making a southwesterner and woman speaker, Tinubu thwarted and sacrificed it on the altar of political expediency.

If you're talking about greed, the only synanimous word in our political lexicon is APC.

And if you think the aggrieved politicians are only speaking because the government policies do not favour them, it's Tinubu that created the avenue for such. If his polices had been pro-masses, maybe the mouths of the opposition would have been shut.

In so much that it is solemn reality. Abeg this hypocrite of a minister under Buhari should rest it. Tinubu has made Buhari a better option in the standard of abysmal low leadership.

Not trying to compare two evils, but one has to state the obvious. It is really stunning, how the same set of people that went dancing and clubbing when Abacha died, are now chastising those who have not joined them in their hypocritical attempt to whitewash Buhari's tenure.

They are now trying to stiffle any attempt to point out the ills of the administration of late Buhari. Just because Buhari in his divisive style, favoured them in one way or the other while he was in power. They now want the whole country to eulogize him as the best thing since fura de nono.

This sort of double standards in terms of how different nationalities assess national issues in this country, is starting to terrify. It is also the main reason why it's becoming increasingly difficult to form a common nationalistic platform that can unite all Nigerians.

Tinubu is a better leader than Buhari , Tinubus greatest mistake was increasing fuel price on day one and even after realizing his mistake he doubled down on the nonsense decis , that decision alone has made his economic results the worst in Nigeria history ...if only he had waited for Dangote refinery to commence and then support it his govt would have been a lot better but in a bid to give Oando undue advantage before Dangote opens he took that self centered decision he as still not been able to recover from

Normally, Bola Tinubu supposed to hand over from jail because that man has taken government corruption to a whole new level

They are like a fish out of water whenever they are not in government. Imagine someone like Amaechi who had been in politics since 1999 telling us he was hungry less than 2 years out of the corridors of power.
99.9 of them are thieves and this is why are a blessed country like Nigeria is still poor.

Walahi we for kukuma leave Nigeria for PDP hand.Those guys were not saints in any way but they sure had direction, Spread, nationalistic ,internal and external structure etc....Not this anyhowness we are seeing now. We have never had it so bad since 2015.
