silibaba:No Osu caste system or "Ebonyi is inferior" lunacy in us. Yoruba na Yoruba and we own all inch of the SW . Likewise, as reasonable folks, we agree you own all corners of your SE and that is why we stay away from your region and the reason I have never set foot in any part Ala Igbo and unlikely to ever do so 😎 |

OfoIgbo:STOP talking IRRESPONSIBLE B.S. There's NO widespread xenophobia in the ENTIRE Lagos State. The wild speculation is all in your head. Do you even know what xenophobia means? It's fine if other parts of Nigeria attract FDI. That'll decongest Lagos and reduce pressure on infrastructure. Just because some streets and landmarks were renamed from Yoruba names and non-Yoruba names as well doesn't mean there's any xenophobia. The Local Governments have a right to rename any street or landmarks in Nigeria in their localities because it's within their purview. In addition the "Second Pedro Bus" in Gbagada Phase 2, Lagos State, has ALWAYS been the official or original name of that Bus Stop till 2025 NOT Charly Boy which was just an unofficial OR informal name used because Charles Oputa lived in that rented duplex which was close to "Second Pedro Bus Stop." It was ONLY renamed officially as "Olamide Badoo Bus Stop" after Olamide Adedeji in 2025. In conclusion, Charly Boy was just a tenant in that house who was eventually evicted by his landlady for owing rent from that duplex close to the Second Pedro Bus Stop now Olamide Badoo Bus Stop. He was NEVER a landlord in that house. |

Why won't it. When ronu will not allow people to rest in Lagos. This is even the beginning. |

OfoIgbo:Getat! Lagos is saturated already. Cost of establishing business in Lagos due to land scarcity will inevitably make investors look at alternatives. It is normal. |

Armaggedon:Wen u have been expanding for long, it would get to a level, in which, ur marginal expansion, would be " diminishing while the total outputs would be increasing ", Lagos is full already, hence the investors are looking for other areas where it's spacious enough for their investments. First, compare the amount of money you would use to get plots of land in Lagos, to Abuja, asides that, where is even the land in Lagos? Compare that to Abuja, with very large unused land till date. Ordinary Uniabuja was boasting of 11 hectares of land until Wike grabbed it. Reason in that direction and not from negative point of view ok.

OfoIgbo:If xenophobia is start existing in Lagos, why can't you guys move to ur own state? Abi, it's an abomination to develop ur own State? Who told you, xenophobic won't catch up with you in Abuja in future? |

WizardOfNG:You guys are still deluding yourselves with the "igbo migration" to Lagos? The igbos you find in Lagos are the children of those that relocated after the war due to Gowon's 3Rs...no sensible Igbo man will invest hugely outside Igbo land in this 21st century! |
| Re: Lagos loses top spot As Nigeria’s Foreign Investment Destination by OfoIgbo: 7:17pm On Aug 05, 2025 |
raskymonojendor:The funny thing is that Igbos dominate in the shipping business in that same Lagos. And apparently more than half of the containers that arrive in Lagos get forwarded to the SE. What this means is that proper sea ports in the SE like in Obuaku in Abia State and Oseakwa in Anambra state will be hugely successful. Hopefully when PO assumes the presidency, he will grant the necessary waivers and licences to authorise the construction of SE seaports so as to really open up the SE economy |

It’s funny the Ibos are sharing akpu and lacassera on this thread . Interestingly, all their states are conspicuously missing . One would think Ibo are the foreign investors who brought the billions to Lagos and Abuja 😂😂 Shouldn’t they be worried that their states have zero FDIs? What is their obsession with Lagos sef |

Racoon:Idonated two electric poles for my close. I promised to buy cable so we can hook up to the grid. I don’t have the money now really , but even if I do I’m beginning to think twice . The tribalism in Nigeria is getting out hand. This me sha , but if this sentiment cuts across then you can understand why the state dropped. |
