The faster your likes leave Lagos the happier Lagosians are.
owobokiri:
It has always been becaus of the presence of the federal government. It has nothing to do with any sectional imput. Lagos enjoyed that streak for a very long time as a result of the federal presence in Lagos. Even when the sit of government was moved to Abuja, folks stayed put in Lagos as the past administrations ran the place as a "melting pot" of the nation.

Now Abuja is gradually taking over as xenophobic attacks and close minded policies gather momentum in Lagos. Folks will continue to leave "their Lagos" for them, untill lagos becomes another Okitipupa or Oshogbo. No one will invest in an environment where someone can wake up overnight and start demolishing your property out ethnic fury..

They're busy pursuing investors due to tribalism and politics
So why is Oyo ahead of Anambra? Why are the investors not running to iboland?

It's worrying, that the inflow from manufacturing is a meagre 2%. This is a huge red flag. Banking shouldn't be generating that much revenue.

It's amazing no one is mentioning the effect of Wike and Tinubu infrastructure development and investment?
Exactly. I was about to say this. One of Obi supporters on twitter said infrastructures doesn't contribute to economic growth. I can't even remember if I screenshot the werey comment. Look at the massive infrastructure wike is doing in Abuja, tell me why investors will not go there.
I don't know why they always give excuse that it's because of being former federal capital.

Xenophobia in Lagos is beginning to yield fruits.

There is no reason Abuja should be ahead of Lagos, especially as Lagos is the commercial/financial capital of Nigeria.

The last two years of Tinubu's administration is beginning to gradually destroy the economic attraction and potentials of Lagos
Same tired, empty rhetoric you’ve been regurgitating since time immemorial, yet Lagos keeps moving forward. Meanwhile, none of your ‘sit-at-home’ states even make the list—and you’re not the least bit concerned. But as usual, you went berserk the moment Lagos was mentioned.

Good news but not good enough I would like to see south east states like Aba and Anambra or Port Harcourt and Calabar even Kano

Dey play my fans.

The report added that Lagos is followed by Ogun State with $7.95m, Oyo with $7.81m and Kaduna with $4.06m.

Three Seaports in the pipeline for the South West:

Badagry Deep seaport - Lagos State via PPP

Olokola Deep seaport in Ogun - Dangote

Ilajẹ Deep seaport - Ondo state via PPP

The South West is not waiting for the Federal Govt.

The completed Lekki deep sea port was via Lagos State via PPP too.

Absolutely happy for Lagos too. People can now move to Abuja and Lagos breathe.
One day that ur sea port il be abandoned also, dey play.

Probably the ethnic profiling going on in Lagos is beginning to affect Lagos!

This is a welcome development. Other states should benefit from this also.

I am crying well we'll for Lqgos.

When a president that will give a proper go-ahead for SE seaports take over, that's when you will feel the damage even more.

More than 60% of containers that land in Lagos head to the SE.
SE seaports will grab all these business

I wonder how anybody will find this surprising. This is just part of a larger trend. Abuja with better plan, better road network, smooth traffic, busier airport and most importantly, peaceful coexistence among the ethnic groups who dominate it ie Igbos, middle belt and South South guys etc Abuja is poised to overtake Lagos. The surprising thing is that it's not only happening faster than expected but it's happening in several ways at Lagos expense. This shows that investors are sensitive to the increasing volatility of Lagos in the past few years, as predicted.
no nobody dey invest in the south east, why are the people escaping to other region? War dey there

Look at those ignorant analysis up there, saying one hostility is driving investment away from Lagos to Abuja grin grin grin grin. People mumu sha!!!!!!!
Tinubu dey Lagos, investment dey there yafunyafun, Tinubu go Abuja, investment follow am. Who is too daftt to know that Tinubu is the price? The works of Wike and Tinubu in Abuja is what is bringing in investment into the capital city. Abuja is now a befitting capital city compared to the time of Jonathan when bombs were being blasted everywhere and Buhari that cows and nomadic fulani took over everywhere in Abuja. Which investment can stay in such environment? Go and look at the wonders Wike is doing in Abuja and know the reason why Abuja is attracting investment. Lagos, Abuja, Ogun, Oyo will continue to attract the most investments into Nigetia bcs of leadership.
SE folks should go and hold their governors and stop blaming others for their underdevelopment. cry

Toom Many Impulsive Minds on NL

With Abuja having a slight edge over Lagos, suddenly Abuja has overtaken Lagos in terms of capital inflows. Think! Most of you are being emotional. You're long on emotional outbursts but very short on logic and historical hard facts. Lagos has been interacting with the outside world for more than 400 years, long before Nigeria. existed, when most of Nigeria, apart from Kano, were a little better than villages.

The charm and allure of Lagos won't fade overnight. It's actually a good thing other cities are thriving. In effect, those who don't like Lagos may stream there for survival. It will help decongest Lagos in a sense.

Abuja now seems the No. 1 destination for rural/urban migrations. Despite these migrations, the population of Lagos is not easing off.

The much feared "night buses from the east" are on their way to NO MANS LAND as we speak. Dozens of them are coming , filled with the INVADERS..., streaming into lagos for total economic subjugation..
Brace for impact. We will continue to stream into Lagos in MASSIVE QUANTITIES because Lagos is part and parcel of our COLLECTIVE PATRIMONY as Nigerians.
We didn't fight to instill this kind of Nigeria, your uncles did, so spare me. Essentially, we are Going On With One Nigeria untill thy kingdom come.
If you don't like those scenarios, you know what to do..

If not for one Nigeria, the region for don become poultry..
Some of you are yet to realize that the old Eastern religion left Nigeria since 29 November 2024.
