Nothing wrong with Enzo if it’s a 3 man midfield with two CMs. I don’t think he is a bad player as I have seen improvement even though I think we can be better structurally. Also selling Enzo and getting a cheaper DM does our books a whole lot of favor.

With the squad we have built, there is only one impediment to title challenge and a key structural one, which is the ghost worker in midfield

You know how robust we would be if a good DM was brought in and Caicedo was moved to CM, it will be war to defeat Chelsea in any game

Bit as things stand we are at best a top 4 team and cup team with the key midfield impediment

They are clearly setting up a midfield 2, not 3 and Enzo in that 2 is a non starter

I need a DM anointed by God to be as technical as possible. You can’t imagine how well a team plays with a deep lying playmaker who can spot and complete a pass to a man pockets of space. Attacking players end up running riot.

Enzo starts because non of our midfielders have passing range. Not Lavia, not Caicedo has the technicality to beat their man when tightly pressed and have the instinct to make that killer pass into space. Caicedo is worst at this hence he is always the first to be shipped to RB because Maresca can’t bench Enzo.

We have tried a Lavia and Caicedo combo before and scoring became war. Creativity is just as important as defensive solidity in the midfield department.

Enzo’s price tag makes it almost impossible to bench him and he’s literally our captain in 70% of our games, he either starts or is sold, don’t think there’s any in between. So na to pray make e improve or make we get better suitors, from Boehlys POV he’s supposed to be the face of the brand

Lavia started in 6 games within this time frame and we won 3 matches , drew 2 and lost once. One of the wins was against TOT where he was bundled out after first half and we started scoring goals to win TOT 4-3. Out of respect, that shouldn’t even count for him. We also never scored more than 2 when Lavia and Caicedo started within that time frame.

I consider him a good player. Funny how Maresca didn’t trust him and still bought him. Don’t want to believe he connived with Leicester to defraud us.

I don't really think they connived to defraud us

For Leicester's level, he was a good player, and one of Enzo's most important players too, during their good run.

But the step up to Chelsea meant he had to up his game by a wide margin to retain that status as one of Enzo's trusted players in our team. I think that step up was what he couldn't really do, considering the quality we had.

He's an okay player, no doubt, and I'm backing him to do well at Everton

Player for player, we are approximately on par, so today boils down to dynamic tactics.
