They should call for accountability and not lament. Lamenting is a trait of people who lose election. |

Yes, they did not inform the contractor that rain would fall before the road properly dries up... So make nobody blame anybody, let the youths organise themselves and pack sand fill those big hoes .. Everybody will be alright last las 😁😁😁 |

Lagos enjoys a lot of attention on Nairaland. In many states across the country, this is a norm. |

| Re: Rainfall Washes Away Newly Commissioned Itumoja Road, Lagos by Erickymania(m): 12:53pm On Aug 06, 2025 |
LagosOrigin:The project was done by Local Government. You could hear the voice of someone underground blaming the LG Chairman. Not trying to justify the bad work done o, but leave Tinubu & State Government out of this matter. In other States, Local Government don't even embark on road project. |
| Re: Rainfall Washes Away Newly Commissioned Itumoja Road, Lagos by Hamachi(f): 12:53pm On Aug 06, 2025 |
If a few drops of rain can undo a 'newly commissioned' road, maybe it wasn't the rain that failed — maybe it was the contractor, the oversight, and the accountability. Nature didn’t expose the road. It exposed the negligence. |

blame the residents...They poured too much hot water on that road. We go still get sense by force for this country |
| Re: Rainfall Washes Away Newly Commissioned Itumoja Road, Lagos by Thunderfayamods: 12:55pm On Aug 06, 2025 |
LagosOrigin:Imagine how this one is sounding as if it doesn't or hasn't happened in Anambra. This is not a Lagos problem this is Nigeria problem it is part of the corruption we are talking about all over Nigeria. Yes Lagos is over hyped ghetto but you people will keep rushing to the ghetto and even try to claim the ownership. Your moniker is even Lagosorigin, so it is not out of place to call you ghettoorigin. |
| Re: Rainfall Washes Away Newly Commissioned Itumoja Road, Lagos by Kennyfancy(m): 12:55pm On Aug 06, 2025 |
They should rename the road so that it's can wash back |
| Re: Rainfall Washes Away Newly Commissioned Itumoja Road, Lagos by Belcon(m): 12:55pm On Aug 06, 2025 |
No good drainage system what do you expect from a sub standard road construction done by a short payed contractor engineer..most money looted ..so they do what your money worth simple |
| Re: Rainfall Washes Away Newly Commissioned Itumoja Road, Lagos by ElevationD: 12:56pm On Aug 06, 2025 |
That’s what to expect when you have horrible leaders. They pay for substandard and drive powerful SUVs bought and fueled with your money, while watching you lament. Next time vote wisely. |

Lagos is really positioned against the water elements , especially from the Island. It would not be funny when the Atlantic ocean really decide to get very violent against the Lagos coast . These flash floods being experienced here and there is but a dress rehearsal . Well , I don position my landed assets for Ogun state and for my home town , Imo state. Though I still maintain asset for Lagos Mainland |

Its a shame if the state govt refused to sue all those involve in this scam. Where is even the stone base on this road. Is this how to construct a road in the first place. |

Nothing is normal any more in this country. Even when a competent candidate promises to do 1 term of 4 years, it still sounds so abnormal to the hearing of these corrupt and incompetent APC urchins. |
