I have had conscious business with the above.

I'm not familiar with any one.
It's only when they start tapping syringe like this to add extra wickedness inside the injection.
That's the only thing I understand inside hospital.

Usually for patients with needs like one in one nursing. Patients in this class are stroke,sepsis in the elderly etc
It's a step below the ICU. If patients worsen on HDU they are escalated to ICU. If they get better,they are de-escalated to gen ward

What about BG? Blood Glucose

PACU is Post Anesthesia Care Unit. It's same as Post Operative Recovery Room or simply Recovery Room
Guess ur relative had a procedure or surgery and had anesthesia, possibly a GA

Now something piqued my curiosity yesterday when I visited a relative in a hospital and saw the acronym "PACU" I have been searching the meaning but yet to arrive @ it. Can the medics in the house please help? Thanks

PACU is post anesthetic care unit. Patients go to PACU after surgery. PACU is mostly used by Americans why the Brits says Recovery room, And Nigeria like combining both. Also, OR is US thing why the Britis will say Theatre, if you mention theater in the US, they will think you are going for a music concert.

Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Those that had surgery and are recovering are always put in PACU unit first from the theatre to see how they are recovering from anesthesia before taking them to their rooms. Its a little bit like ICU unit but not that serious. Some hospitals especially privates in Nigeria do not have PACU.
