Dauda Dedan, a newly recruited soldier has allegedly stabbed a Police officer identified as Aaron John, of Taraba State Command to death.

The incident, according to the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO of the Taraba State command, occurred on Monday in the Mayo-Goyi community, Jalingo.

The PPRO explained that the deceased officer, was alerted by some residents of the area about a misunderstanding they had with the soldier.

Unfortunately, he was caught in the middle of the chaos, leading to the terrible stabbing by the soldier.

The PPRO stated that the soldier was currently at large but the army had commenced investigation into the matter.

According to him, the army had assured the Police of tracking down the suspect to face the full wrath of the law.

“We have reported the matter to 6 Brigade headquarters of the Nigerian Army, and we have been given full assurances of tracking down the fugitive soldier to face the full wrath of the law.

“Both the army and the police are working hand in hand. We have gotten to the house of the soldier, we would ensure he is arrested and is brought to book accordingly,” he said.

Lashen, therefore, maintained that the relationship between the two security agencies was very cordial.

That soldier is one of the bandits…. The way they switch sides from banditry to the army up north is so easy….many terrorists are in the Nigerian Army

The NA should make sure they recruit men who are responsible and not those who are not normal.

The worst set of soldiers are those newly recruited soldiers from Depot. They behave like ram after the six months training. They only start acting like human after their eyes don clear, serving for a while
