If Hamas hard surrendered and returned the hostages there would be no need for such extrem measure even been contemplated.

That's what happens in a war,did the allies just pack up and leave after defeating Nazi Germany? There is normally a time frame the victors occupy the vanquished so as for them not to pose a threat to them again..all this things have been happening since the beginning of warfare and is not just been started by Israel.

Atrocities happens during wars and civilians bare most of the brunt that's why war is never a good solution to any problem but I guess Hamas didn't know that..read up on the atrocities Nazi Germany civilians including women and children suffered and the bliss bombing campaign on the city of Dresden in Germany by the Allies.

The land was never the Arab's (aka..Palestinians),it had been every body's from the Canaanites,Jews,Romans..etc all the way to the Ottoman's before they sided with the Axis against the Allies and lost losing control of the land to the league of nations ( precursor to the U.N) who in turn gave Britain the mandate to create a Jewish homeland on the land of Israel(Palestine).

You all didn't seem to mind when Britain unilaterally created Jordan from the 70% of land it was supposed to create a Jewish and an Arab nation..the same way France and Britain created Cameroon, Nigeria, India etc was the land theirs to create those nations?
