It’s not a funny matter, that’s the only solution. Eko Atlantic and Banana island can have flash floods that recede within a short time due to the engineering heights of land reclamation and planning that those areas went through unlike the swamps that became Lekki ph1 and the rest with the pluvial flooding that can’t go into the ground because it’s a swamp and the drainage have been blocked with excessive building constructions and refuse dumps.

I don’t know who approved Lekki, but knowing how things are run in Nigeria, I won’t be surprised if it turns out that nobody approved it.

I don’t defend nonsense either, but the truth has to be told somehow. And the man can’t keep quiet, people want to hear from him even if they don’t like what he has to say. Nothing can be done to make swamp habitable , concrete will sink, it’s just a matter of time. Even wood homes settle and crack on dry land if they’re not well built.

Abuja is a new city, it’s not a coastal area or over-built and congested. So what works there can’t work in Lagos swamps. To ease the problem in that Lekki axis, a lot of buildings will have to be pulled down and I don’t think the govt has money and time for that now. The area looks like a concrete jungle and the only way is demolition, but for now people can do what they’ve been doing to deal with the water.

I won't be surprised really, when I stayed around that axis previously, I was warned not to ever drink it despite having water treatment. I lived on a minimum of 10bags weekly for cooking, bathing etc.

Leaching is tough at secondary school level and it's unfortunate that many Yoruba kids here don't know what it is and how ground water can be contaminated...this is why no Yoruba secondary schools wins anything in sciences and maths nationally or internationally


For your information Chinua and Ngozi had their secondary schools in East where there is quality Educational foundation

This isn't life. Honestly, they're not living well in that Lekki-Ajah axis be that. Someone in Kwara or Cross River lives much healthier.

Thank God Nigeria is big enough. Just find a product that can generate USD revenues and nothing would concern most people with the Lekki-Ajah area.
