See my fellow Africans celebrating over nothing.

Nigeria and Malaysia started the race, the battle for economic and developmental growth and prosperity started with Malaysia and Nigeria in the 60's and 70's.

At some point Nigeria was projected to be far ahead of Malaysia, Singapore and India.

But today how far? Corruption and incompetent politicians have derailed and finished this country.
Had so many Indian teachers in my primary school then. Many British trained. Today they rather go to the States. To show how the economic gap has turned into a grand canyon.

I will continue today this. Obasanjo's indigenization policy was a catastrophic mistake. I can't understand why he did it. Perhaps due to the West's criticism of military rule (but in the 70's dictators were not really seen as bad guys) or was it part of OBJ's quest for Pan Africanism and the fight to rid SA of apartheid.

But one thing for surei ce Nigerians took over a lot of enterprises, agencies and entire sectors the decline started and Nigeria has not experienced a better succeeding year. It has been almost fifty years of decline and the Malaysia's, Indonesia"s, India's, Singapore"s and South Korea's of thus world have all left us in the dust.

My brother whatever you are doing, please make sure you make a lot of money
Thos will encourage greed and stealing. You don't have to make a lot of money to survive. Little can be enough if honorably gotten.

This was perfectly orchestrated by the CIA and the British. An advanced and powerful Nigeria meant real liberation for the black race and Africa. Can't have that, so here we are
Of all the quotes I read, yours is far from reality.

We can't keep blaming the whites for the misfortune of Africa, After 100 years we are still blaming the white man.

Neo colonization is nothing but a false narrative aimed at deceiving ignorant Africans while the corrupt Governments and elites of Africa continue to loot the collective destiny and wealth of the continent.

I disagree that after 100 years we couldn't get anything right, but continue to insist that the white man is the problem.

I completely agree with you on this, even though Obasanjo’s indigenisation policy was enacted in good faith, it was a terrible mistake because it scared foreign investors away instead of attracting them. It concentrated wealth only within the elite circles, the likes of Rasak Okoya, Dangote’s uncle, Mike Adenuga, Otedola, Ibru family etc all benefited massively from the policy at the expense of national wealth distribution, just like the Russian oligarchs like Abrahamovich etc benefited from privatisation of national infrastructures after USSR dissolved, just that the Nigeria version was more long-drawn.

In comparison to India which invested in education and built a strong tech and pharmaceutical sector, Malaysia which by the way also has oil and palm oil but quickly diversified into electronics and manufacturing, and Singapore focused on education, urban planning, foreign investors and zero tolerance to corruption. Like you said, they left Nigeria in the dust and our problem in that country is further compounded by corruption, brain drain, heavy reliance on oil, lack of strategy and foresight. It's deep bro, it will take a visionary leader to turn things around at a national scale.
