Inigo Martinez played two seasons at the club. The first one was filled with injury and last season was exceptional both on performance and availability.

This would have been his third season. What do you think would have happened to him given the style of high-octane football we play, the tears and wears he accumulated last season, and also given his age? He already started the preseason while nursing injuries. He didn't participate in any of the matches in East Asia.

I respect everything Inigo achieved for us last season and I wish him all the best in Saudi Arabia. He also leaves the club knowing that his salary space will be used to register other players.

He loved the club more than the selfish German ever will.

In my opinion, I don't think Inigo can replicate the kind of season he had last season, given his age and injury record. I think he also knew it and decided to leave the club on a high note, which I respect a lot.

Sadly, same cannot be said of a certain German, who thinks he can go to war with his employer and win.

Gerrard Martin will replace Inigo Martinez. This was why he played as LCB through out the preseason and I think the experiment was a success.

What's left now is to see how he manages his new position, in a competitive match.

Then Jofre Torrents will step up to deputise Alejandro Balde at the LB position.
