I doubt if it's really a thing to be sincere, I don't think your sim will be disconnected in that short note

I confirmed this month that the Airtel unlimited 20 is not truly unlimited. They are just deceiving subscriber. It also has data cap which after you exhaust it, you speed limit drop to between 800Kbs to 5mbps.

Although I don't know the data cap yet but i confirm it that it is capped.

They are just extorting people. Foolish people

People go for what they can afford actually everything with advantage get disadvantage so weight your option and pick what is comfortable for you

You think it's fair because Internet is expensive in Nigeria. If you travel to Europe and other places, Internet is quite affordable and faster than what we have here. In Portugal, you can get cheap fibre with 10Gbps speed for only €15 and it's unlimited, no cap. That is less than 30k. We're suffering in this country.

No one is forcing them to offer unlimited data if they’re not ready to sell it. You mentioned a 1TB cap, while I heard it's actually 300GB. Either way, it is bad service to me

yeah we know about fair usage, but where was it stated that there is fair usage in their unlimited 20Mbps ? I have never seen that before. If they can't come plainly and provide a mean to know you have exhaust you data limit, then they are dubious because they can just dropped your internet speed drastically even when you have not cross their data limit.

Btw, MTN has this unlimited that is capped and they make it clear to subscriber what they are getting. Why can't the same be done by Airtel for their unlimited 20Mbps??

It is the same 20Mbps that we do for 30k. This one is just a coded sub we do for 15k

no you won’t. For it to stop working means the 30k sub has stopped working.

It just doesn’t entail 15k. You must either own an Airtel 4G router, or a compatible Mifi that can be configured to work like an Airtel router.

The caveat, you must buy a separate sim every month, but in other not to get into much details publicly, i will stop here.

Got the unlimited plan and it’s working perfectly well. He was patient with me all through the process of activating it. I’d recommend 💯

pls, I'm about getting the airtel 5G router box, I know it has power bank to power it but I want to know is, does it work well when someone moves around within Lagos?

5g only work in area there is 5g, otherwise you will only get 4g which is also enough to do whatever you want to do.

Another thing is that, if you are planning to buy it for the purpose of subscribing unlimited plan on it, then for me, the 5g router is useless since you won't be getting more than the capped speed of either 20mbps or 60mbps for the 50k sub. Except if the router come with WiFi 6 and I still don't think that is enough to get the 5g router instead of their 4g which is cheaper

i totally agree with you 5G router should not be that expensive actually, 4G will get most things done especially when the network in your area is good,

MTN actually offers true unlimited with their FibreX plans. For 25K you get the 50Mbps plan, free installation. Blazing speeds and no data cap till expiry 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

And even on their broadband unlimited plans they actually state it clearly that it is capped, and you receive a certain amount of data daily after exhausting the data. At least MTN is transparent in that regard
