The Governors are completely senseless.12 billion naira spent wastefully without yielding any positive result. How can a state governor leave the country for a foreign investment trip without having a glimpse of how it will end.

These Governors are busy feathering their nests in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

One can see clearly that the Governors are the main problem.


FAAC allocations have tripled to the States and Local Governments but never trickles down to the ordinary people.


It's better to always scapegoat Tinubu than looking at the direction of the Governors and the LG Chairmen who are having a field day while smiling to the bank.

If foreign trip no work local trip fit work ..At least e be like say first lady hold well, she fit dey interested in investing in states and she fit get collegues at the upper echelon who go help the put the masses in active duty. Without LDI no FDI. Efcc should have a repayment plan if LDI are corruptly entangled instead of outright seizure, else money go die for cemetery .

The supplementary budget also proposes almost 6 billion naira to purchase SUVs for the presidency — more than the amount initially allocated to fund a student loan program for poor families.

The issue here is what we have been dealing with since 1966 - mutual suspicion. The people don't trust their leaders because they don't even trust themselves.

If a governor wants to loot state resources, he doesn't need to travel. He will inflate the cost of projects and nothing will happen. Give those guys some credit - some of them are actually working. Again, the issue here is lack of trust.

Many of those trips were actually for jamboree .

Made as a tourist to first world countries with girl friends while telling the public it was an investment drive.

They want foreigners to come and waste their money in Nigeria where the security of investment is not guaranteed in any form, and in a country in which themselves cannot invest in. Who do us this thing?

A country with good leadership with feasible economic programs in place needs no chase any investors. The opposite will happen.

I thank God plateau state is not among the listed states. The truth is that plateau state governor is a visionary leader just like PO. What Nigeria lacks is leadership, and any serious leader that wants to truly change the narrative can do that in less than four years. It is not rocket science, it is about the person that wields or call the shot, you cannot give what you do not have. There are two divides to leadership, good or bad. I am glad my governor falls on the good side, if yours happen to fall on the other side there is nothing you can do about it for now, wait till 2027 to do the needful. You might be lucky to get a visionary one like mine.

Dont patronize me, if the people dont trust the politician/govt whose fault ... these are not just baseless of suspicions they profounded on series of evidence

Those foreign trips are mere jamborees and vacation for politicians and their friends. forget about the numerous MOU they claimed to have signed because no serious investors will bring their resources into those states having seen the sharp practices and wastefulness of the government officials at close quarters during their visit.

Then money doesn't belong to the governors so they do what every kid in a candy store does...

And that is because they real owners of the resources don't bother to ask how.

If accountability is not one of your strong points I really cannot see any other destination than a land of multi dimensional poverty.

How do you expect an investor to put his money when there is uncertainty on ROI or where there is security risk from bandits in the north and ipob menace in the SE.

Just look at how much the northern state are spending. No joy.

What do you want to attract when there is massive insecurity, a high level of corruption, and no steady power supply? Be realistic.
