More people need to be employed in the police force. Such law enforcement duties should fall under police jurisdiction. |

The video clearly shows them trying to gain access INTO the supermarket. They went there to enforce parking regulations. What is their business INSIDE the store? Anyway, you can’t beat the government. After God na government. A pity that store will probably be shut down for a long time. |

Prosecute them, no need long epistles and train your staff on conducting themselves in a civil manner |

nosiebaba:their officials are mainly agberos in uniform. Hungry looking APC urchins. They should go and beg money from their boss. Not to come to harass citizens for illegal money. |

How can one differentiate between parking officials and agberos? How can one even know that where he intends to park is government controlled or agbero controlled? It is not a secret that tags and receipts fly around everywhere. How do we know if they are printed by government or forged by touts, who pose as government officials. They all encourage you to park and some of them forcefully extort you. That is the park officials and touts. We also have the issue of LASTMA officials who - conniving with police personnel - overreach themselves. They also extort citizens. Some years ago, I stopped at Alaba Rago, opposite LASU to purchase rice. It was the 24th of December. Other cars and buses parked there too. Out of nowhere, LASTMA and police personnel surrounded my car and claimed that I should not park there. I then wanted to move, but they refused and said that they were arresting me for wrong parking. I did not argue. They said that they were taking me to their office at Ketu, before Agbara. One policeman and one LASTMA man jumped into my SUV and I did not complain. Then the policeman suggested that we could settle. I asked him the terms and he asked for 30K. I asked him how much the fine was at the office and the LASTMA man quickly said 50k. I offered 2k and they both asked if I was calling them children. I said YES and they got angry and we moved on. Just before driving into the office, they asked if I would make it 20k and I said since I was already close to their office, I could only offer 1K. That got them mad. We stopped and they asked the security man to open the gate. I drove in and and said bye bye to them. I then told them to make find their way to their team by public transport. It pained them. Long and short, I reported to the boss in the office and he ordered them to return to face him. I found out that the fine was 11,500 and paid. I paid additional 1K for the gateman to open the gate and let me drive out. Government should help deal with the issue of touts among the real officials. The same officials move along with touts, who they settle daily. That’s what enables touts know how the real officials operate and sabotage government efforts. |

Who are the parking officials and how do we identify them? Hope it’s not those area boys that park vehicles at markets. I don’t see them on uniforms o. |

Parking authority enforcement is a good initiative but was there proper sensitization of the populace as regards their coming to being? I believe 6 months sensitization of the populace should be done in both English and Yoruba so people will know a new organization has been setup (if at all it’s new), else people will take them for street agberos who want to milk people when parking in streets |

Let them criminalize street parking in Lagos. How can someone build a house without a car park? There are 2 block of flats on the second street after mine, it's at the 1st floor now and it's 2 buildings opposite each other and there's no place for would be tenants to park their cars. A building of multiple room self cons... Landlords want to maximize the profit on the lands at the expense of ensuring the safety of the tenant's assets. When they're ready, they know what to do. LGs should be responsible for it and not necessarily an agency. |

gasparpisciotta:As long as na LASG...na Agberos wey Dem no fit control...... Build the structure. Continue to enlighten the people. One thing I found, the mentality of the APC is that they feel the money with which they do things was brought out of their pockets...hence the way they act. Shame. You fail if this is your brand of keadership |

Parking is revenue to local municipal .what you people call local government . not that of state. Cleaning the street it is the responsibility of the local municipal |

Their business was outside and not inside the supermarket. To think the car park was clear of vehicles at that time and there was no street parking. I hope the supermarket gets a good lawyer to argue their case. Good thing they have a video recording of the incident. |

Lagos state officials were displaying what Lagos state officials has come to be known for later and were rightly restrained from going about their business of illegality. What is their business with trying to gain forceful entry to a private business when their duty is strictly ensuring proper parking of vehicles outside the business premises?. Well, we know the people that are noted for criminality and agberoism |
