It's not rubbish. It's his opinion, but I think a 5-year term is short; it should be 6 years of one tenure. As a president, that was what Jonathan once recommended and agbadohs wanted to skin him alive. It will save Nigeria all the money wasted during elections every 4 years.

You don't have to copy everything someone else does completely because God gave us brains for a reason. Besides, it may not work for us. Talking about the US, our model isn't exactly as theirs. For instance, their VP is the senate president.

Okay. So those who were elected under LP in the last election, why can't Peter Obi pass the message to them in order to table the proposal at the both houses?

Presidency is not all about going round faster.. it's about effectiveness... A single term cannot make a meaningful change...

I’m an advocate of a six year rotational single tenure. It will solve a lot of the ethnic tension in the country and help to bring about unity.

4 years is ok. If you do well, seek reelection or get the Jonathan treatment. Our laws guarantee that. It's not about the length of days, but the quality of the citizenry!
