Osimhen has been an excellent player wherever he goes
He spent just one season with Lillie and he scored just 13 league goals that season , Yeder, Mbape , M. Dembele and one other player I can't remember were above him in the scoring chat. Scoring 13 league goals in Ligue 1 is nothing special, remember Mason Greenwood is not even a striker scored 20 goals in Ligue 1 last season .

Lol, how many goals has Sesko who is one of the hottest strikers in the market presently scored per season?.

It's not only about goals, there are other capabilities that are being put into consideration also age and potentials to excel further are considered significantly.

If they were to be whites they will be valued more than that

Osimhen for €75M to me is undervalued cos he has proven himself way more than that as a top goalscorer
U guys should stop this racism card. How much City buy Haaland?

Firstly Sesko is 22 while Osimhen is 27, and who says Sesko has never scored 13 league goals ?
In 222/23 season he scored 16 Bundesliga goals and he was only 19 at the time, in the 2023/24 he scored 14 league goals and ended last season with 13 goals.
Sesko at 22 has scored 6 UCL goals while Osimhen has 9 UCL goals at 27 for Napoli and Lille combined. Remember Mo Salah scored10 UCL goals in the 2018/19 season alone.

Firstly I am a big fan of his because he is from the same as myself but we Nigerians rate him way higher than he really is. He only had success at Napoli, he flopped at Wolfsburg, won nothing at Lille and was average at Charleroi.

Interesting breakdown of African football talent and transfer records! The transfer market always seems to bring surprises, especially when it comes to African players. Victor Osimhen’s move to Galatasaray is huge, but it's interesting that it won't surpass his previous transfer fee to Napoli. Still, €75m is no small amount, and it shows just how highly regarded he is in world football.

I think it's also worth mentioning how African players, despite the financial disparities between leagues, continue to shine in Europe’s top competitions. The rise of players like Osimhen, Mahrez, and Salah has shown that African talent isn’t just valuable—it’s essential to some of the best teams in the world.

I’m curious to see how Osimhen will adapt to his new environment in Turkey. Do you think he’ll be able to bring that same level of success to Galatasaray that he showed with Napoli? Or will the change in leagues and teams affect his form?

It’s also exciting to think about AFCON this year. With Osimhen, Salah, and others vying for the title, this could be one of the most competitive tournaments in recent memory.

Doesn't change the fact that Sesko has a below par input compared to other elite strikers and yet he is viewed as a hot cake.

Sesko is not at elite level yet, even Osimhen at 22 wasn't in anyway elite.

Surprisingly, Nicolas Pepe is the current most expensive African player of all time. He was such a huge flop at Arsenal that it's almost impossible to understand why Arsenal paid so much to acquire him from Lille. Anyway, that's football, not all buy eventually live up to the huge price tag. Osimhen has justied every penny spent on him in all the clubs he has played for, it's still a huge mystery why the top clubs in the Englsh Premier League didn't do enough to buy him, in recent days we have seen lesser quality and unproven players been bought for higher amounts, so I don't want to believe that finance was the issue why clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal didn't go for him, maybe something else we all don't know about. Osimhen is now permanently in Turkey, and I'm sure he will set the Turkish League on fire this season with goals. Also, more importantly, I wish he would lead Galatasaray to perform creditably well in the UEFA Champions League.

You don't compare a player at his peak to a player that hasn't peaked.

Lol, who's at his peak and who hasn't peaked....an also what guarantees do you have that either of them will definitely not lose form or not get even better?.

We've seen the likes of Kane,Lewandowski and some top tier strikers get better as they age compared to when they are younger so what your point exactly?. undecided .

Firstly you're the one that compared both players, secondly Sesko is just 22 years of age and scored 16 Bundesliga goals at 19, Osimhen don't have such numbers at 19. Osimhen's best season return was three years ago when he led Napoli to the scudetto and he was 25 not 19.
Only Harry Kane has had better xG than Sesko in the last two seasons in Bundesliga.
